Poor Bails! I didn't know a cat scratch could get so bad! And hugs to BB too! Plus some others have also had a bad reaction to meds so get well soon all of you.

Get well soon bails! in case somehow you can see this. What rotten luck.

Hello to everyone else. I made my first roast the other night, then got told my friends father died and burned my hand on the oven. grrr. Turned out i went a bit ott with the fat but my yorkshires came out proper good!

4,000 words to do by christmas for my dissertation.

Eating has gone out the window, i dunno whats wrong at the mo. I eat a meal and then i dont want to eat much after. Its like i had the roast on tuesday, didnt have breakfast wednesday, had crisps and satsumas for lunch, then had some prawns for dinner cos i thought i should eat something. Today ive had toast and thats it. Its 5:20 and im still not hungry. Maybe my meals are more filling than i thought? keeps me going for 2 days at a time!

Anyway, hope youre ok BB. I think of you all while im at home bored stiff, i miss popping on here willy nilly when boredom sets in.

Missing little suggs too, been ages hasnt it.

Hope everyone else is ok and is bearing up as they say. I shall have to find my christmas charger and show you some snaps of my first christmas tree in the flat of doom. You'll all enjoy looking at a personal photo that means sod all to anyone ha :p

    speak soon everyone x

FFM I enjoyed reading your stats roundup! You have done fabulously well with your maintaining. The 2000 cals/day as you say is for the 'average' female and I think that's based on a size 14 (ish) and relatively sedentary lifestyle? The 1865 sounds about perfect for your smaller size :)

My theoretical 'maintain' numbers are 1536-1760 for sedentary to lightly active - which rises to 1822-2046 if I add an allowance for my usual exercise (an extra 2000 cals/week). So I'd say to maintain on 1865 you may be over achieving? (Or more active than you think!) Whichever way you look at it though, it's a GREAT achievement!

I'll post up mine next week when I can do the full year summary. The average daily calories are not going to look good though, they will be much too low because of how much I struggled for most of the year :o

Had the cheesecake, could well afford it as I went out for a fabulous 2hour 45min run today :rotfl: It was 240 cal/slice and not very nice . My son can have the rest, he enjoyed his slice :p I also ate 35g of cashew nuts as another little treat (only have these on holiday usually!) and they were much nicer :D I give up on the cheesecake now, it's just not meant to be!!!
  • Hi BB, if you get a chance to 'speak' to Bails please pass on my best wishes for a speedy recovery - sounds very nasty.

Victory, when I was losing weight my daughter used to let me smell her chocolate - that satisfied my 'cravings'.

I've been pretending to eat the purple quality streets and lindt chocolate truffles today - oh, yes and a mince pie :rotfl:

  • I'll pass on all your messages to bails: I'm not sure what the op is but I know she got the scratch about 3-4 weeks ago and it has subsequently got infected. She had antibios form GP a wek ago and they gave her severe cramps on Sunday and then ended up in hosp. Will keep you posted if I hear more.
Thanks for sympathy for me:o . Had another bout with my own meds this pm and now just feel washed out. Hopefully this will just stop. Nearly time to take the next one:(
Vix - well done on the roastdinner:T . You are doing brilliantly and look foreward to pics of the flat. Get them 4000 word dun girlie then yous are free:j . As for being off food, er you're not... you know....
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • Hi Missy, I don't think I am that active at the moment, during the summer I was cycling a fair bit but not now. I'm not even managing my lunchtime strolls with my work buddy 'cos I've been so busy at work.

The only possibility might be 'work stress' As I've said before it's not a bad stress because I love my job, but I'm often quite keyed up and attentive, trying to make sure I do everything and get it right. There's quite a bit of concentration required, 'negotiating' - with colleagues etc

I guess I should wear my Rosemary Conley pedometer to see how many steps I do take during the day - might give that a go for a week and see how I get on. Not sure it works very well though, which is why I gave up wearing it.

Looking forward to your year end figures - it would be interesting to see the difference between when you were 'hard core' and now.

Shame the cheesecake wasn't as good as you'd hoped.

Lots of love to Bails please BB if you are in contact.

I'm trying to imagine eating, without eating, and it's making me hungry. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: at the idea of puting food in your mouth and spitting it out again though. Maybe I could start with that and then graduate to just thinking the whole process.

I'm trying at the moment to just wait for 60 seconds when I think I want to eat something so that I have a chance to change my mind. Sadly I don't change my mind.:o
