Morning all! Glad the fish seems OK PCL. Hope everyone else is well and had a nice weekend.
Had a busy weekend, but don't seem to have done much, mainly sorting out relationship 'stuff', at least we ended on a happy note, so alls well in the Jay household again. Busily preparing and studying for job interviews, I so can't wait until I'm settled in a job and we can move out of this tiny rented house. To have a dishwasher again, and enough space for us all to move around without constantly bumping into people and things would be bliss!
Haven't done too well on the eating front, I stupidly thought that if I bought beer for us both, and my fave crisps, which only come in huge bags, I'd manage to limit myself to moderate amounts, yeah right. I've resolved to stay away from both in future, didn't help that DH brought huge chocolate bars home from Woolworths sale...I suppose it's all a learning curve.
So day 1 for me again, DH has promised not to buy choccy again, and I'm learning that beer/crisps and I need to stay far apart, I can resist bread but not those two, lol.
Have a good day all, and good luck to anyone who's weighing in today.Anytime;)0 -
Morning everyone!
Last week was the first of four weeks at the higher calorie level of 1750/day. I didn't quite make the target and ended up with 11906 (or 1701/day). It seemed like a lot of food this week, but I'm sure I will get used to it
Exercise diary for last week:- Monday - 52 mins continuous cross country run
- Tuesday - 22 mins light yoga
- Wednesday - 90 mins running + pic taking
- Thursday - 30 mins manual treadmill
- Saturday - 90 mins exercise bike (alternating 10 mins easy, 10 mins hard)
FFM 4-week cumulative result is -2.75lb (but the week before that, I had a 2lb gain). The overall trend is down rather than STS, but this is great because I still have one more "calorie hike" to go!
Just proves how messed up everything was all summer, if I can now eat almost 50% more and exercise more than 50% less and still maintain
GOOD LUCK EVERYONE ELSE THIS WEEK!!!0 -
Back from weigh in - happy to report a 1 lb loss this week! Will try and post my daily menu later but am now on the way to the Chinese supermarket to stock up on eggs and fish etc.

morning all, I have been terrible this weekend, if it wasn't nailed down i ate it. As a result i feel like poo today so day one it is. Having a red day today so have completed my food diary which definitely helps. I'm finding that if i don't know the syn value of something then i use it as an excuse to stop filling in the diary for the whole day and then go crazy.
I did my first 'real' dd party on friday and it went brilliantly! had 10 ladies all very interested, all bought and some christmas orders too! Got another one on weds too.
looks like some seriously results missy - do you think your metabolism msybe runs differently summer to winter?
hoping for good things for your fish raph. Have you tried putting him in a bicarb or epsom salts bath? http://www.goldfish-emergency.com/viewpage.php?page_id=17. if he's bunged up it will flush him out and get him back on balance0 -

I'm off to see a personal trainer today, a free session offer at the gym, I can't afford to have a PT but thought it might be useful to get some expert advice on my routine. While I enjoy it I don't think it's having the same effect anymore. I need to punish my body lol
Also I lost 1.1 lbs this week!

Raph - you've changed your avatar - is that a skinnier turtle?:rotfl:
As for the discusion about syns = naughty food. Doesn't necessarily mean that - on a pasta base day (green) for example, any chicken over your allowance would be syn counted. It just helps you have a balanced diet. And the syns ensure you have treats so you don't feel deprived and fall off the wagon bigtime (well that's the theory kpc:D ).
Anyway - fantastic loss raph & marion who both thought they were in for a gain:T
Fragon - huge commisserations. Life can be pants, there is no doubt about it. How's Dr Dragons job hunting going?
Jay - it's all part of the learning curve. Now you know what you need to avoid.
I've just done th monthly asda shop and found I wanted to buy every fat laden snack going. I blame the cold weather. Naturte is telling me to feed my fat reserves:DI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Had such a busy day today sorting out all the Christmas decorations - don't you love going through the boxes of decorations in the loft and remembering past Christmases?
This is what I had had/will have today:
Breakfast - puffed wheat, milk and an apple (heb+hea+free)
Lunch - bacon & eggs with SW chips (heb+free+free)
Dinner - SW quorn chilli with vegetable rice (all free)
So I just have to sort out some syns for tonight and I am sorted!
Love
