  • victory have you tried abreadmaker and making your own? i find its far nicer than shop bread, but its also less sweet, and the effort of slicing it thin ish then trying to eat what is still a very thick slice of bread means i never manage more than two slices at a time.
Victory, stay away from the breadmaker:eek: :rotfl: . Danger alert, danger alert! Sorry pcl -maybe it's just me, but a BM would be a d.i.s.a.s.t.e.r:rotfl: . Also, my paretns have one and their wite bread is definitely sweeter (and sooo yummy). And lois - as for butter, we were obviously separated at birth. Lashings of it on cream crackers.ryvitas...sigh. I can't have any in the house either, though I am current trying out some in the freezer for certain cake making (which I don't it, it's for OH).
Vix - of course I read and enjoy your posts and second marion on that one:D
Marion - sounds a good eatingplan.
My weight seems to be stabilising at half a stone above what i would like. SO at least I sem to be limiting the damage, even if I can't muster a consistent effot to get that 7lbs off.
Pcl - how are you doing? Have you planed your evening meal or lunch today?
Does preparig something early make it easier to eat it later?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • must be just me then, the white bread i made in the bm was so not nice that since then i have always made it half and half.

ive given up trying to fight with myself about food atm, im still well and truly in the obese category according to bmi and my weight last week so it wont do too much harm. and i am managing to nibble here and there.

  • Happy to report a 1.2lb loss on 11492 calories - so that will be the 1.2lb gained last week :j .

    Average loss/gain over the last 4 weeks = 0lb :D

Best not to mention the fish and chips Friday night, 3 mince pies and indian tonight :o . My excuses for the takeaways are that we ran out of potatoes Friday and I was shopping with DD all afternoon until 6pm today, still hadn't bought any potatoes and felt too tired to cook :o

Must do better, must do better, must do better........

  • Good morning, hope you are all well. I did good yesterday and managed to stick to plan although when my husband cracked open a bottle of wine I had to grit my teeth and force myself to say no:rotfl:! Felt very virtuous when I went to bed last night which was rather ruined when I got out of bed and had a sneaky weigh in on the scales. I don't seem to have lost anything at all:mad: I know my scales never match what they are at class but they normaly indicate a general trend in the right direction:mad:

Oh well, all I can do is carry on and have faith in the plan! Speaking of which here is todays:

Breakfast: 28gr puffed wheat with dried cranberries and milk (heb+2.5syns+hea)

morning snack - fresh fruit (free)

Lunch: Grilled tuna steak served on a mixed salad with balsamic spray (free) and a yogurt (free)

afternoon snack - scan bran cakes with cup of tea (half of heb+2 syns)

Dinner: Chicken Casserole (skinless chicken, swede, carrots and bn squash plus colmans mix) - (free + 2 syns) plus mincemeat cupcakes served warm with custard (other half of heb+8 syns)

Thats a total of 12 syns for the day.

My first thought this morning was to almost eat nothing at all today but I know I would have got told off in class tomorrow morning if I did that so I am going to have my syns and my healthy extras and I will stick to the plan:jalthoough it is very very scary!!

    Love

PERFECT result FFM! :j Well done you!!! What's this "must do better" malarky? 2 takeaways and a few mince pies in a week surely is OK for a maintainer? (And technically those 2 takeaways are in different 'weigh' weeks for you if one is tonight :p) Anyway well done! That really is great! :D

Raphael, good thing we all know you were joking about not eating today! ;)

BB, did you see that Mark Cavendish got injured while snowboarding..... on the Wii  Be careful on those balance boards folks!

Marion, definitely stick to plan, you know it makes sense! You are doing great and eating really healthily. It's the overall picture we need to look at not the daily ups & downs :)

  • MY 2000th POST

Raph - fingers crossed for your weigh in, really hope you don't go above the 12 stone mark.

Retired lady - sticking to the plan is definitely the way to go, never eat too little food - but sounds like you've already sussed that :D

Missy - thanks for your ongoing support, I think the 'must do better' was more the expense and 'quality' of food, rather than the calories - although it means I had more than 3000 calories yesterday and will have to be careful this week. I know of one work related evening meal, a work buffet lunch and work birthday (hence CAKES), so the rest of the week will have to be closely watched.

Victory - fingers crossed for you too
