Please don't give up on your dreams vix - but also make sure you do them sooner than later.
My father always told my mum that they'd go travelling once my grandfather passed away - sadly dad died 18 years ago, grandad is still going strong. It always makes mum sad - but she is travelling when she can and has a long list of places to go to before her health/old age prevents her or makes it harder for her. She doesn't like going on her own so I go with her - but it's not the same as if my father was with her.0 -
morning all - been sooooo busy, that i just haven't got on here in the past few days. Food choices have been bleargh so day one today. I need to learn that just because it's there and free, doesn't mean i have to eat it!
MArion, I noticed that you are using a HEB of ev olive oil to cook with. You may be better using frylight and adding the odd splash of water if stuff sticks. EV olive oil has a very low smoke point and tends to burn if you heat it. Plus you'd have a HEB to use elsewhere!
Victory, I'm a binger and SW works for me because I can binge, but only on certain things. But with you being so close to target, and it being so close to christmas, I wouldn't start experimenting with it just yet. MAybe in mid jan?0 -
vix travelling doesn't have to cost much, my in laws are very hard up , they bought a second hand needs work done to it camper van, my FIL spent time and effort but little cash making it road worthy and converted it to gas so it is more economical to run and now they spend ages planning their route on the internet, have joined forums where they tell you the cheapest campsites, the ways to save money by taking your own cans of food, freezing ahead, what time the cheapest ferries go etc etc and they have been all over europe now and love it, they do get caught out a few times like when they ordered a beer in venice and it was 18 euros because they sat down!!
It is there for everyone frugal or rich:D plan plan and thrice plan:D0 -

Weirdly enough I sometimes struggle to use my heb as I eat so much of the free foods! So for me the olive oil is an easy way of getting them one of them out of the way. I try to avoid bread as much as I can because that is one of my trigger foods and although I wouldn't classify myself as a binger (more of a grazer), I could and have done in the past eaten a whole bloomer with butter and jam!:o:o:o:eek: Although rolls don't seem to bother me - just white bread!

Good morning everyone, had a messy morning as Charlie was sick in the night and made a whoopsie and was sick all over the kitchen floor. Poor little thing is looking quite dejected and his little tail is drooping. He has had some water and is curled up on the couch wrapped up in one of my cardigans - bless!
Anyway here is my plan for the day - (by the way I went for the wine in the end last night, I put the brownie in the freezer and am proud to report it is still there:D)
Breakfast - 5 scanbrans scraped with a tblsp peanut butter and topped with sliced bananas (free+4.5syns+free)
Lunch - Homemade carrot and coriander soup plus a selection of fruit from the bowl and a yogurt (free, free all free)
Dinner - SW beefburger in wholemeal roll with spicy SW wedges made from heb portion of potato plus mixed salad (free+heb+free) ketchup & mayo on burger will be at least 4 syns and a glass of the red tonight will add another 6 so that will be 14.5 syns for the day.
Late night snack - blueberry yogurt mixed with 0%total and frozen blueberrys mixed together to make "almost icecream":D (free)
Milk in drinks during the day will be my hea.

1 lb loss this week.
Going for a bra refit friday - this weight loss business is getting expensive!!!
I hope youre coming to me!Or at least not marks and spencers!!
Actually did i tell you about my friend getting fitted in marks and spencers? Well i'll tell it again ha.
I fitted my friend into a 30D back when she first started, she is like a rake. Shes now a trained bra fitter so she knows the score. Anyway, she went into the changing room with a 36a which was the most funniest thing ever to see. Anyway, to cut it short the girl told her she was a 34c because the 32 was too tight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you adam and eve it. I had such difficulties controlling my laughter in the next cubicle.
So yea, proof that marks and the worst fitters, and they only fit the cup and not the band. They must have such big problems getting bras to fit!
anyway, hope youre successful!0 -
Tod says thank you very much for all the compliments - he assures me he has no fur care programme - just healthy living and daily rinses after muddy walks!
Jay - good luck with the interview - hope all goes well!
Victory - we are sending positive vibes for you getting the job you want/deserve.
I use Feng Shui a lot and if you stand at your living room door looking into the room, the middle of the right hand wall is your future area. If you put a job advert of a job you fancy, and write 'this or similar' across it and put it in that area with the intention of getting a suitable convenient job,you never know!
I was told that we were 90th on the list to get a puppy, and that they had only rehomed 6 of these dogs in 20 years. I put a picture of a Lucas terrier in my future area of my sitting room, and 2 weeks later Tod became available..... I have used it for other things and it does work!

i had a feng shui book when i was in my early teens. I always remember some of it to this day, like not sleeping directly under a window and stuff. I must say theres something that draws me to it. I might put my dissertation on the wall now! the only thing thats in the middle of my room in the right is a radiator and a chair ha. A life heading towards warmth and comfort perhaps? hehe0 -
third post ha, but i always forget when i want to say if i try and keep it in my head, because i forget who says it. So hopefully no one minds my face cropping up three times in a row
I totally hear what youre saying fred and victory, as i previously said my father went from being a fit and healthy 55 year old, to over night being revived at the side of the road, to now having a motability scooter with parkinsons. Looking at them makes me want to go sooner rather than later because you just don't know what card youre going to get drawn. I don't want to leave anything last minute, but at the same time i dont want to rush anything either.
I wanna go around the world though, i wanna go to new york at christmas, i wanna do australia and new zealand. I wanna do Costa Rica to see what my dissertation is based on, i want to do mauritiaus to see my friend and how rich she acually is, i wanna do iceland, amsterdam, dubai, south africa and i think thats the crux. Japan/china scares me a bit so no thanks, and i dont wanna go to a place where i cant plug in my hair straightners so anywhere poor is out.
Although i'd love to go to africa or somwhere and help build a school or help in some way. I really hate giving my money to a charity and i have no clue if its just going towards making those pens that get handed out ect. I'd rather fly over there and give a family £50 worth of something than a charity it.
Ohhhhh matts mum and dad are giving us their christmas tree. Woot. Theyre coming up tonight WITH A MEAL. I was going to complain but then i've just thought about the kids in africa with no family so i wont.
right ive gone on long enough, i bet no ones even read any of it ha. Bye everyone, have a good weekend!0 -

Hi Vix:j
I was just wondering how you were, a couple of days ago, it's good to see you posting. Did you sort the parking problem? Good idea about the dissertation:D, when's it due? I'm sooo glad mine's over and done with!
Feng shi's a good idea, think I'll use it for that dream house, or a general 'ideal job' description. I wonder if putting specific jobs up would be forcing things too much, in the spirit of 'careful what you wish for...'?Anytime;)0 -

:rotfl::rotfl::Tvixarooni on a dark and miserable day you always make me laugh - in a good way! And of course we always read all of your posts!:rotfl::rotfl::beer:
