BB, did you see that Mark Cavendish got injured while snowboarding..... on the Wii  Be careful on those balance boards folks!
 Doesn't the boy relise he should stick to tiddlywinks if he's not on his bike:rotfl: .
Marion -tutututut, sneaky weigh in's:D . Just think, if you hadn't been virtuous you might have put on. You know sticking to plan makes sense. I hope you are rewarded tomorrow. BUt we know bodies can be funny, and sometimes you plateaux for a week and then drop again.
FFM - you are doing well :T . Raph - you are close to getting in practice for maintaining now really, though you have had a very balanced eating plan all along. A week like you have just had is bound to happen, it's reigning in the following week until it balances that is the key - one you seem to have already mastered:A .
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Raphael, good thing we all know you were joking about not eating today! ;)
Tee hee, of course, no way I could starve myself for a day! I love my food too much. I'd make a rubbish anorexic! :p

It was nice to have a bit of a change :) I don't usually mind gaining a lb or two as I know I can easily lose it the next week. The thing that will grate is going back over 12 stone! But I've had a sneaky WI this morn and so far I have STS, if I'm good today I think I will be alright.
Today I have planned...pot noodle for breakfast (have only just got up, I'm on nights)
Lunch is omlette & salad, dinner at work will be either salad or cereal, and snacks of fruit for the rest of the day.

Marion - Can I ask, why do you have to have so many syns a day? The syns are unhealthy things right?

No, I don't mind you asking raph. Although I have lost 8 stone, I still have almost 10 stone to lose (I was just a couple short of 30 stone when I started:o:o). My slimming world consultant said I need to keep my syn count up till I am much closer to my goal. In fact she would be happy if I had up to 20 a day!
Most of my syns are not unhealthy! I use them for cooking mainly, I don't use them for sweets although I do have wine once or twice a week:D

I guess they are thinking that since I have so much to lose that it is important that I can have enough variety and flexibility in my food and cooking to encourage me to stay with the plan!

I know I don't lose weight quickly but I try to comfort myself with the fact that if I lose it slower it will hopefully stay off. Plus is gives my skin the chance to shrink to match my body instead of hanging off me:eek::eek:(don't think I havn't had nightmares about that!)

  • Thanks Marion, I think what is confusing me is that they are called sins, so I assume they are bad & therefore less is better!

Had a nice morning/early afternoon, took dog & OH walking in the woods, then it all went wrong when I got home. One of my fish is swimming vertically, not a good sign, and there is spots of blood all over the kitchen floor. I think Shadow has scratched herself with a toenail, her foot is covered in blood but I think it looks worse than it is. It's stopped bleeding now.

    What a palaver!

Thats ok - a lot of people think that. ;) I copied this from somewhre:
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]From synergy comes Syns. Syns are how slimmers can continue to enjoy their favourite foods that typical diets forbid without feeling guilty or slowing down their weight loss. Syns are a way of automatically limiting the intake of foods that are high in energy density, and so make weight loss difficult. Slimming World members enjoy anywhere between 5 and 15 Syns a day. Yes bra refit was great success, have been using Rigby and Peller for some years - the fitter took a look and came back with the correct size first time , no tape measures needed here. My posture is definately better less slouching!

As i have found an online supplier of Prima Donna bras, i get R & P to size me buy 1 bra and order another couple from Affair Lingerie where they are £5 cheaper. PD bras are fairly expensive but if you hand wash them they last around two years as long as you don't grow out of them.

Actually once you have been fitted by R & P you can go to any store and you can try on various makes and you will know if they are the right size regardless of the dreaded tape measure - its like a masterclass of how a well fitted bra should fit - especially essential in those of us with larger assets.

The only bra fitter in a store who got my correct size was in Bentalls Kingston, but conversely the bras they were selling weren't really suitable for a 38F bust -

While I was Oxford Street I accidently bought some new clothes in Debenhams - still there was a surprise 20% off all item. Have however now spent my xmas bonus from work on myself which quite frankly makes a change.

Also as the savings rates are rubbish and I got my Icesave savings back I am investing some of it in me.

Buying bras in a nightmare - I hate the tapemeasure but trying to work it out yourself doesn't always work either

I hope Shadow's foot is better now (and that the fish survived).

Have made a good (and early for me) start on the Christmas shopping - am just over half way through all the presents. Just got to remember to wrap and post them (and believe me I've forgotten 2 years running in the past :o but I was sitting my exams in the last week before Christmas (my excuse and I'm sticking to it).

    Thanks :)
The foot stopped bleeding on it's own so it was probably just a small scratch. I left Shadow to clean it up herself (better than me tugging at it with a wet flannel) and it looks okay. Shadow didn't seem too fazed, just kept eating her dinner while I picked up her paw to have a look lol

Not sure if the fish will make it, I'll find out when I get home from work at 6 :(
