STS this week.
Glad you're ok Vix - shame the laptop's isn't working - hope it starts working for you.
Well done all the losers :j:j
That cooked breakfast sounds great0 -
I have to place my vote for the mince pies.
I had avoided them until the weekend when a shopping trip with DD caused a box of 6 to come home with us. After I had eaten 4 I begged her to hurry up and eat the remaining 2 because my will power is not that strong - they are just so yummy
Off to eat some porridge now to take my mind off Christmas food - like mince pies, christmas pud, christmas cake with icing on the top, stollen,Sorry..... I think I've just remembered one of my weaknesses.

HALF a pound of for me again..........
I am not losing as quickly as I would like...but I weighed three pounds more than this last year, yet I have dropped almost two dress sizes ...so the gym is working0 -
Morning peeps:D louby,freds,jay,gert:j :j :j
My fav at xmas, desert island stuff would have to be the gravy and roasties, mash them into the gravy and slurp them up:D oh and turkey breast, all the other add ons only OH eats, even the kids are not partial to mince pies and heavy xmas puds and stuff, last year they had a choc sponge microvave cake and this year they have asked for a golden syrup one because their nan cooks it from scratch and they love it but I don't cook that, never have syrup in the house and don't know or wish to know how to cook it so that is there treat.
My treat is the little ones excitement as he opened day three on his advent calender, he is going to his schools craft fair and is beside himself with xmas spirit, he is allowed to choose presents for us and the school wrap them up for him, that is what xmas is about, the joy on a kids face:D0 -

2lbs this week
Must have been all that walking in Oxford Street.
Or I can't afford food as I have spent too much on bras and new clothes!!!:rotfl:0 -
Oooh - I wish we had some littleuns around for Christmas. I loved it when the kids were small and still believed!:T:T
Anyhoo here is my plan for the day:
Breakfast - oats so simple, milk, blueberries and a pear (heb, hea. free)
Lunch - Lentil & vegetable soup with scanbrans & reduced fat egg mayonnaise on scan bran with baby tomatoes and 2 satsumas (free, 2.5 syns, free)
Dinner - Roast chicken dinner with boiled little potatoes in their skins, cauliflower, broccolli, carrots, gravy (free, heb, 3 syns)
Evening snack - meringue with rasberries and yogurt (3.5 syns)
I am embarrassed to admit that with all the cooking I do and all the soups I make I have never boiled up the remains of a chicken to make chicken soup! However times are achanging and I will (after stripping most of the left over meat off of course) attempt this tonight. My biggest worry is fat but I reckon if I boil it up tonight and let it cool down the fat should rise to the top and I should be able to easily remove it? Anyway I will give it a go:D Any advice gratefully received!

Morning all - just a quickie to report in with a gain of 1lb.
So much for my good intentions last week, I really need to follow the plan.
Anyway, just in the middle of loading up, so better give DH a hand!
Catch up with you all on Friday.

p.s. I can't resist all the fruity Christmas things either - mince pies, cake, pudding... and that's before starting on the chocolates!Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.30 -
Morning all!
Quick one cos I'm off to the hairdressers soon, then, while I'm in town, to uni library to find some books and info.
Well done all the losers, losing slowly is so much better Louby, because your skin can shrink properly (hmm, maybe you're not as old as me, so saggy skin isn't an issue, lol). 2 dress sizes less is fab too!
It's lovely having little ones at Christmas victory, mine are both teens now, and though they still love their advent calenders, and tell us what they got each day, it's just not the same as having a little one!
Well done everyone on planning ahead for Christmas food:D
I'm not thinking too much about Christmas food, a death last year means my focus will be on taking my mum's mind off her first Christmas without her husband, so we'll be going out as much as we can to make it 'different'. Gaining / losing will be the last thing on my mind. I hate death!
Sorry for being glum:o, have a good day all,
Jay, xxAnytime;)0
