Lose Weight 23

time for an update i think. had a wednesday weigh in today - slightly unfair compared to normal as i normally weigh on a wednesday evening after the gym, but today i have stuff on later so went this morning.
anyway - i got weighed twice - i know it sound silly but the second is always lighter. first weigh was half a pound off, the second was 2 and a half pounds off - taking the average i am fairly happy - esp when this week has includeded a good amount of chocolates! i have been good in other ways though.
it also means that from my highest weight i have now lost over the 3stone mark.
really i would like to loose another stone or two - though people keep saying not to - i think they are just being nice - i still cant go into a clothes shop and just buy what i like - and thats my aim.
i went into primarni (primark) the other day, and they had some nice plain coloured jumpers - the sort that look good over a white t shirt - so i picked up a large jumper and the same size t shirt - the t shirt was too big and the jumper too small! as was the x large! a medium tshirt with an xxl jumper doesnt make sence! they were quite fitted jumpers though and i have issues wearing very fitted stuff!0 -
Hi everyone
Just reporting in after WI and am very happy to have lost another 3.5lbs :j . Thats 23lbs in total and only 3lbs away from my 10% goal. Got a few nights out coming up so am hoping I can stay on track and reach 10% before Christmas.

Hi all - well done to everyone who's sticking with their plan
I'm still finding 1750 cals/day feels like too much, staying off the scales though because TOTM is due and I don't want to make the mistake of thinking that any gain is because of the extra calories when it probably isn't (if that makes sense!)
I went ice skating on Monday (90 mins, no break), and ran into town and back yesterday (94 mins). Quite MSE because knowing I had to run home with my backpack ensured I didn't buy any extras!
My Christmas strategy is a full 2 weeks off from calorie counting. I will allow myself some extras and may well gain a bit of weight, but I trust myself not to go OTTExercising will of course continue throughout the 2 weeks

tried to post this morning but laptop wasn't co-operating! I have a thoroughly well deserved 1.8kg gain which is quite impressive really! I'm hoping that staying ontrack this week will wipe it for next week. I'm getting really quite disheartened with the weight loss thing on the quiet - i have several good days, then a couyple of bad ones and gain spectacularly. I think part of the problem is that by trying to do sw, the times i do go off piste end up being spectacularly worse. I have no real excuse for going off piste either - there is such a range of foods that I can eat on sw, I just don't understand why I keep sabotaging myself somuch. Probably a self esteem thing, but have no idea how to get it resolved. sorry to waffle!0

I am embarrassed to admit that with all the cooking I do and all the soups I make I have never boiled up the remains of a chicken to make chicken soup! My biggest worry is fat but I reckon if I boil it up tonight and let it cool down the fat should rise to the top and I should be able to easily remove it? Anyway I will give it a go:D Any advice gratefully received!

I make it the spanish way where the bones go in but not just from the chicken, pork ones, a bit of salami, sausegemeant whatever is about plus the veg, they tend to skim it as they see it rise, not leave it, so every so often have a check and if it is white on the surface skim....
kpc I am on WW and the same as you there is many 0 points foods you can have but I reckon it gets monotonous, boring, repetative, unchallenging, once you have ate all the 0 points foods what else is there? Sabotage, bingeing in my case, knowingly, unable to stop in cases and I could like yourself drive myself to distraction finding out why, going on the endless guilt trips, etc but instead I have learnt to be less harsh on myself and praise the times I do well, I don't cheat, I do good, keep the positive in mind at all times, ride with the negatives but let them go away and put them back in the box, every single step that is taken in the right direction give it the credit it deserves, smile with it and eventually one day the need to 'sabotage' will be less and the need to remain positive and focused will be more...
missy I so admire you for the way you have done the weight loss, I have the utter most respect for you , I immediately did the calculations for myself when you said 2 weeks off, for me that would be 1lb a day times 14 bang goes on 1 stone:rolleyes:

John - I think getting used to the idea of figure hugging clothes takes while to adjust too as your mind cathes up with your new body shape. But generally people look slimmer in fitted clothes than is baggy hide everything clothes.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

Afternoon!
Strange week I put on 3lbs and then lost it again all in 6 days!!!!! So on balance I'm STS (getting fed up of posting that!).
Been busy getting my outfit ready for Friday night. It's the Mum's Xmas Dinner and Dance. We are all pulling out the stops so have been living in Westfield recently (at least it feels like it!).
Went to see the nurse recently for blood pressure and weight monitoring and found it a bit weird to have a lecture from someone who is more overweight then myself and reeks of smoke. She started off the session by telling me how unfit she was and that she had just scoffed a pack of biccies and then told me I needed to up my exercise regime (I run 5K each Sat and do 30 mins exercise each night) and eat apples instead of bananas as they are too fattening!!!! I couldn't take her seriously.
Have to go back to Westfield tomorrow to change a couple of bras. My back size has gone down but my cup size has increased. At this rate I'll be in serious danger of toppling forward!:D I think I should forget the bra and just get scaffolding.I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -

I did tell her and she said I need to up it! I am going to tell the doc next time I go in that it's hard to take advice from someone who doesn't follow it herself! She stank of smoke and was frantically chewing a bit of gum. She might be trying to freshen her breath but the room still smelt. I've a sneaky suspicion she had been having a crafty fag through the window.I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0
