Morning all - Victory that is a wonder ful idea about the presents under the tree - I bet it is driving them mad - plus getting them even more excited over Christmas!:T
Here is my plan for the day:
Breakfast - oats so simple made with milk, fresh fruit (blueberries, pear, apple and satsuma). (heb, hea & free, free and free) Cereal and berries now and the rest of the fruit in about an hour. That sets me up fine till about 1pm for lunch.
Lunch - Homemade chicken vegetable soup (made from remains of last nights chicken) not made this yet but will be doing it this morning! (free)
snack - cup of tea and an a couple of mincemeat scan bran cakes - 2 syns
Dinner - SW Cottage pie with carrots and mixed veg topped with real potato!!! (free, free, heb) Then for pudding later the rest of the mince cakes topped with half a tin of value custard (10 syns together) making a total of 12 syns for the day.
The weather is terrible outside today so other than taking Charlie out for his walkies I will be staying in and doing all those little jobs that I have been putting off - like hoovering, dusting, laundry!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I put 2 presents under the tree for the kids yesterday they spotted them straight away and were discussing at length what they could be....nothing because they are empty wrapped presents so they can spend ages feeling and guessing with but they do not know that:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Last year I wrapped some empty boxes in brown paper & red ribbon to put under the tree, the real presents were out of harms way (shadow is very nosey!) but I still wanted something to look nice under the tree.
That is just cruel thou victory!:p:D

Morning!
I'm being 'good', 3rd day in a row :T, which is a miracle for me. I'm so hoping to lose a decent amount this week. I've had to dig out smaller jeans, because my size 18's are now embarrasing, even with a belt. I'll have to put darts in my work trousers too, I've done it with another pair and they look OK. I'm all bum and lose fat from my waist first, so a belt can look daft--the trousers end up 'gathered', lol. Luckily I have solid shoulders, else I'd look like a triangle:rotfl:
All the roads here are blocked or very slow, due to the snow. Loads of schools closed too (not my kids ones though--shame!)
I haint going anywhere today, OH has arrived at work safely, kids are at school, and the snow's not too bad where my mum lives. Hope everyone else is ok.
Good luck with the weigh-in victory (is it today?), and the teeth. I think you're mean with the pressie unde the tree, those poor kids:p hilarious idea though!:T
That nurse sounds terrible tagz, especially if she's been smoking there--what if you'd been asthmatic. 4 hours exercise a week, spread out, hmm.... Yep soo under govt recommendations:D. Stupid woman that nurse, sounds like she just has a 'spiel' she rolls out to everyone who goes for weight-loss support. Good luck with it.
Love the menu Marion, yumm!Anytime;)0 -
I think the nurse needs to read the NHS guidelines for exercise Tagz - you are doing more than the recommended amount
She should be congratulating you!
KPC - sorry you're feeling disheartened. I know it's not the same but whenever I've struggled I've looked at ways of changing my approach, even small changes. It might take a while and lots of experimentation but I'm sure there is some way of making it all click?
I forgot to answer your question about my metabolism - it's difficult to summarise because so much work has gone into sorting this out and it hasn't been straightforward. I believe my problem was a dramatically lowered BMR caused by underestimating the amount of activity I was doing, and therefore restricting my calories more than I should have done for that level of exercise. I knew it wasn't right all along - but whatever I tried to do to break out of it caused gainsUnfortunately none of the advice given appeared to work for me, and I've had to find my own way but I'm confident it's sorted now
I'll keep to sensible exercise levels of 4-5 hours per week all winter, and then when I want to ramp things up in the summer I'll need to be very careful to eat enough so that it doesn't happen again.
Sorry for the essay!0 -
Morning everyone. I'm really sorry that there was no chart last night - I got home at 9 to find my internet connection had gone down, and it is still down this morning. So now I am at work and obviously can't do it from here. I won't be re appearing until it is sorted,so there may be no chart today either.
Hopefully see you all soon though.
