    :j:jGood luck with the interview:j:j
Make sure you ask a couple of questions and know a little about the company that you are being interviewed for. Don't ask about money or holiday allowances just yet! Good questions to ask are about training opportunities, promotion prospects etc. Sorry if I am coming across all Mumsie:o:o

    hey everyone!

Good luck gert with the job interview!! hope you get it.

Victory: Familys can be poo, i dont think theres anything worse than being left out like that, by your own family. I can relate in terms of matts family, we will never be what they want us to be, nor will we ever match up to his brother but in some ways i think that makes matt and i stronger. I think this is probably the same with you in a roundabout way. You have your own family which is a unit that you have created, and should be proud of. You know that you would never act like the rest of your family, which makes you the best.

Someone tell me that the squirrel stew recipe was a joke. Im just gunna eat a sausage roll for gods sake.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Clampers are there today and the development is a ghost town regarding cars! The development is off a majory artery of canterbury so no parking there, im so close to town that roads are either residential or residential. Im not paying £475 for a council car park either. So god knows what will happen. Washing machine comes later, horar!!

I got a trial from cosmetic research today, havent had one for ages! I've got some facemasks coming called "teen face mask" they do realise im 22 i hope! :p My skin isnt much different though so i guess i apply.

anyway, have a nice day everyone!
  • sorry vix, squirrel stew not a joke. I'm going hunting, and i've always maintained that if you kill it, you ought to eat it. Marion, what are your scan bran cakes? they sound interesting.

kpc, you are lovelly but bizzare! I dont mind hunting when people eat it either, but when its for fun i hate it, i wanna turn the gun around and shoot them.

Squirrels though? theyre cute and bouncy. At least a chicken is evil.

    Hi all

Just taking a breather - DH and I have spent this morning barrowing tons of top soil and emptying pots and planters to fill in the pond. Poor DH is thinking of all the blood, sweat and tears that went into digging it out in the first place, only to have as much effort needed to fill it in again! It was the highest maintenance bit of the garden though, and if our tenants have children they won't want the risk of them falling in.

Yuck to squirrel stew! :( I can't face rabbit, so I know I couldn't eat squirrel. I agree with the logic about hunting though KPC.

Vic - why don't you try a direct approach, and ask your nephew why you've been left out. It may be an honest oversight on his part, or he may have some genuine reason, but either way he's the one who's organising it, so he should explain himself. If you're wary of asking him yourself, ask your sister to do it. It surprises me that your sister isn't as horrified about it as you are and hasn't already done it! Above all, don't beat yourself up about it - it's their problem not yours.

Retiredlady - your menu sounds lovely! I tried celeriac mash on a red day once but I wasn't very keen. I'd rather have swede and carrot or butternut squash. Just remembered something funny about celeriac - I'd ordered it from Sainsbury's on line, but it was out of stock so they substituted it ... with celery! Luckily I like celery, but it doesn't mash well. :D

Gert - good luck with the job interview. I agree with Marion's advice too. Having been on the other side of the interview desk on numerous occasions, there's nothing worse than someone who doesn't know anything about the company they're applying to, and asking 'whats in it for me' questions doesn't go down well either.

Right - better get on. We've got a letting agent coming to take photo's tomorrow so got to get the place looking tidy.

    Have a good day

    Gert fingers crossed for you!

Vic, I agree with LL. Ask your nephew why he didn't include you. If you don't say anything and there are any future events, he might think it's acceptable not to invite you. If I was his mum I'd be annoyed for him missing my sister out! But it really is their loss.
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!
