If I don't receive anything by the end of the week I'm going to send another letter to a different address that was given on here.

i have seen many mobile networks increasing prices, and people being able to get out of there contracts due to this,

from the 1st of november, orange are increasing there MMS price from 25P to 30P

i send a few mms, can i get out of my contract.. if so, can someone help me

    Thanks

    Dan

Your missing one very small point, orange increased the cost to 30p but also changed the fact the image could be any size (whereas before it was capped at 50kb, anything over this was charged at video message for 50p)
Orange were finding with most customer and the newer camera phones, everyone was getting charged 50p for every message.

You will find quite allot of peoples costs will come down with the changes, where i agree some peoples will go up.
But to get out of contract you need to proove your costs each month are going to go up in excess of 10% each month to be a detrament.
They will look at your last 6 bills, unless you have sent litterally hundreds of photos at 25p (and never got charged 50p for a larger photo) you will struggle on your aim

It doesn't state this in the contract terms and conditions does it? It only says that you can cancel if it is of detriment to the customer. Still awaiting the response anyways.

In the T&C it makes it sound as though that if it affects the price to the customer, never mind the capped file sizes.

I phoned CS last Friday to chase up, quelle suprise they had no record of the letter - even though it was sent recorded delivery 3 weeks ago.

Faxed a copy to them which they called back and confirmed they have received.

Going back to the additional services question - I received my bill yesterday and there is an additional services section. MMS does not fall into this but is considered a 'call charge' which is part of the standard contract. Think the additional services line is a fob off.

I just posted another letter to them this morning.

What address did you originally post to?

My first was disconnections in Durham.
    2nd (todays) to Bristol.

Oh and now that you've faxed have you still to wait for further confirmation?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Tom,

My first letter went to Bristol and the fax to disconnections.

Disconnections did say that it wasnt their department that would deal with this but assured it will be escalated.

I'd imagine the next step would be a rebuff letter from them

I have just phoned Orange and was put through to disconnections and the address I was previously given was to the insurance department! The gentleman I spoke to was extremely unhelpful in this but he has given me the following address to send the letter to:

    Correspondence Department

    PO BOX 10
    Patchway
    Bristol
    BS32 4BQ

So, I am now going to send another bloody letter!

Lol. They would have got my first letter and gone "What's he on about?". Lol.
