Orange - Can I Get Out Of My Contract

The battle is over and the war is won!

I received another call from Orange. They said that because there are only a few months left on my contract they are happy to cancel it without charges! I think what helped was they accidentally terminated my phone service one night without informing me and then charged me for voluntary disconnection!

All in all it has worked out quite nicely. My phone contract ends on Monday and I shall get my PAC code and find a cheaper alternative (probably PAYG i think). :beer:

No, you can't. MMS do not form part of your agreement, as they are additional services. Also, the cost of MMS over 49.9kb has been REDUCED to 30p, from the original 50p, so you might actually find yourself better off. If you wish, there's a bundle of 5 MMS a month for £1 you could add, if you send 5 or more in a month you'd save a few pence.

Well, Orange must disagree on some level to have cancelled my contract without penalty! I thought they would go down the route of MMS being an additional service but they didn't even mention it.

I know the price increase isn't that much, but it now means I can move my number to another phone carrier and choose a smaller tariff (I don't use my mobile nearly enough to warrant the tariff I am on).
