I think you're going to want to add this one in.
3% cashback on fuel spend (up to £300/mo)
2% cashback on department store spend
1% cashback on supermarket spend
£24/yr fee
Cashback credited every month
I think this must make it one of the best buys. Not sure if i'm allowed to link it, so just google it.
Regards,

I would prefer the new 5% cashback card so I asked whether it could be changed over - answer - NO
I also and specifically asked whether having the existing card would automatically prevent me from being accepted.
CS reply was evasive and said: I’m unable to tell you more about the criteria we use, as this has to remain confidential to be effective.
So - has anyone been accepted even though they already have a CapitalOne card?
Capital One won't allow you to have two cashback cards (unlike MBNA, who seem happy for you to have a handful!).
However - they were quite happy to give one to the wife, and add me to her card. So now we just use the 5% one, and once we hit the cashback limit it'll be back to the other one again.0 -

The Amex Platinum that I have has just paid me £99.04 for the last year. I've had an Amex card one way or the other since 2004. I also own a Capital One 1% cashback (flat rate) on the old contract.
I heard about the Santander 123 cashback card (with annual fee) and was wondering if it's time to ditch my Amex? I have been very happy with Amex for the service I get but I won't be loyal "because I can". The Santander is especially attractive as I shop in department stores and use the petrol pumps more than often now!0 -

I suppose if you look at your bill for the year and add up how much you have spent on petrol, supermarket, department store, and other, and if you would earn more than about £123 then it would be worth it.. I reckon if you spend not that much on petrol and lots in places not on their list (e.g. holidays?) then it might not be as good as it sounds compared to a flat rate cashback card.0 -

That's not bad advice. I should be able to do this from the Amex web site no doubt. Got any ideas how I can get all the data in one go? I don't want to be sat typing everything into Excel one by one.
Good point about holidays. I've booked many flights...0 -

I know my credit card online billing let's you export to excel/csv.. If not you can usually copy paste the monthly statement table into excel then tidy it up0 -
Rather than following the link on MSE I signed up for my CapitalOne card through Quidco. Hence I bagged another £15 cashback from quidco!
Thats me accepted, card delivered and the cashback has already tracked on Quidco!
Just thought I'd pass on the tip.....0 -
Hi llywmog,
Thanks for letting us know. When did you apply?
If you used the link in our weekly email, that takes you via a comparison site which has got the deal. If you went directly to capital one, the offer is not currently on, as far as i know.
Thanks
Dan
I did use the link you were talking about. The same week it was on the email. At their end, they could see which link I had used but claimed that the deal had expired and that the link should not have been mailed/on the mse site..0 -
I have just received my AA Members Credit Card. It has 3% cash back on fuel (up to £2000/year spend), that’s the best I have found for fuel. It’s only 0.5% on everything else.
I've been trying to work out how to redeem my cash on this card. According to their website's FAQ, there's a Redeem My Points tab on the site. But I can't find it. After a few messages back and forth they've admitted that there is a problem with the site, and to try again later. Meanwhile I have to wait until I've got 2000 points (= £20) and then redeem them over the phone.0 -
In the list on martin's website of cashback credit card providers all the providers are asking for a minimum annual salary.
Does anyone know of a cash back card that does not stipulate this.
I am of independant means and am retired from work.
I own my own home and do not have any debt of any kind.
I currently ue the Tesco Clubcard credit card.
Any help would be well appreciated.0
