Oh and really easy tuna pasta, no amounts just to taste
pasta spirals
1/2 tin of tuna
peas
tsp malt vinegar
1 tsp mayo
salad cream
cheese
Mix the vinegar, mayo, salad cream and tuna in a bowl. Cook pasta and peas, gradually add the pasta and then peas til all covered and then add cheese and stir in. I normally do 2 little piles.
The rules are that this has to be eaten in a big glass bowl and shouldnt be piping hot. Is perfectly complimented with orange juice. This is my perfect comfort food and saw me through many a revising period in school/uni0 -

Casserole dish greased
Olive oil just a little for sauteing onion and other veg if using
1 onion finely chopped
2 cans tuna
1/2 pint white sauce (1 oz flour, 1 oz butter/marg, 1/2 pint milk (or milk and stock), salt & pepper
Other veg can be added if liked such as chopped peppers, mushrooms.
Mashed or sliced cooked potatoes (enough to cover top of casserole dish)
Packet of plain crisps if using mashed potatoes (optional)
Hard boiled egg, mashed (optional)
Grated cheese, cheddar is ideal, smoked cheese also apparently quite good
Saute onion over low heat for 5 mins until softened. If using other veg, add and saute for another couple of mins.
Make up white sauce.
Add flaked tuna and veg to white sauce. Place in casserole dish.
If using hard boiled egg, mix in with mashed potatoes.
Cover with either sliced or mashed potatoes.
Top with crisps if using, and then grated cheese.
Bake medium oven about 25 mins.
Serve with green veg such as broccoli
Reading this reminded me of my student days and tuna casserole
In casserole dish mix tin of drained tuna with tin of cambells condensed mushroom soup, flatten out, pour over tin of drained processed peas, top with instant mash, then sprinkle over mix of crisps or cornflakes mixed with grated cheese. ´Cook¨ in the oven for about 20 mins, serve with crusty bread. If we were showing off we used drained tinned salmon instead of tuna0 -
Throw it out - ok was a suggestion but not very OS
sorry can't even stand the smell of it, bleugh!
One day I might be more organised...........

OP, £1 for 6 cans of tuna is a good deal, but what on earth prompted you to buy 80 odd tins of the stuff?!?!0

We used to love tuna stirred into a jar of sweet and sour sauce served over rice when we were students. Now I have an oven (!) our favourite is tuna nad sweetcorn lasagne“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hi all, I have about 6 cans of tinned tuna which I want to use up. I'm sick of tuna pasta and OH is on a diet so doesnt want to eat pasta anyway. I have all the usual stuff in my cupboard but I don't like peppers. Any ideas please?0

Mix it with some with low fat mayonnaise, chopped crunchy green apples and black pepper, it's lovely in a jacket potato or sandwich.0
