Evening All
Went to Mr T today:eek: First time we've been in about a month, but still nearly £100 for not even a full trolley:eek: _pale_ Mum doesn't seem to grasp the aspect of doing without the non essentials. She seems to think I'll foot the bill. Bare in mind I've my own flat to pay for (still not fit to live in) plus contributing to a family of three (Nan, Mum & me) and a dog. Along with a car to run. We never take Mum's car anywhere, it's always got to be mine. And when she does have to fill up - about once every 6 months - she moans at the cost. Sorry to rant, but needed to get it off my chest.
Got :money: on at the moment with It Pays to Watch:T
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hello everyone,
Just a quick post from me as I am shattered, I just want to thank you all for the kinds thoughts and hugs for my mum.
She is feeling a bit better now that she isnt taking the pill the Doctor gave her for the gout. The chest infection seems to be breaking up now as well, but has'nt been eating very much at all, porridge mostly , as it seems to settle her stomach.
I am off now to do something to eat for me, I am starving.
Thanks all
Anne
xx
(((Hugs))) for any in need and hope anyone with something to celebrate has had a lovely day xx0 -
Hi Scuzz, I didn't realise that you still weren't in your flat yet  no wonder you are trying to find as much work as possible, especially if you are still tipping up to live at home.....try telling her that her petrol will evaporate if she doesn't give her car a run every few days
Ruby, I think Mehefin was referring to the pheasants being eaten, not the buzzards
Tea tonight was chinese chicken thighs and potatoes done in My Mate Moskireally tasty and no fat splashes all over my oven

Grrrrrrr..... totally forgot it pays to watch was on!!!
Hope everyone's had a good day - have read some but not all of thread. This is the first time I've stopped since I posted this morning!!!
I took DD2 to dr's and she prescribed some cream which seems to be alot easier to put in than the drops - they had a cancellation at 9 a.m. which was just perfect. I was amazed by how much more upbeat I felt because I knew that everything was ok - as in been to doctors, chemists and DD2 was not having to concentrate at school and could just relax. It really was a load off my mind and I felt so much better at work than yesterday when I was worrying all day. My eyes don't seem as bad as yesterday so fingers crossed it's not going to develop fully with me.
I'm doing really well with my weight watchers diet (on day 4) and am really hoping that I will have lost a couple of pounds when I weigh myself.
I'm getting a free dishwasher tomorrow (one half the size of a standard one) which will be lovely and I will def be using it when I'm pushed for time. Does anyone else use one and feel guilty as it's not at all OS?
After getting in from work I cooked a gorgeous (even if I do say so myself) cottage pie. There's plenty left for another day too
I've done story books with DD1 and some times tables and both are tucked up in bed but not yet asleep.
I'm absolutely shattered and intend to be in bed for 9 and asleep for half past .... night night all xxxJUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0 -

Yep still here. The windows still haven't been sorted as the council seem to want to know everything including weight, height and dress size:rotfl: And I now have to pay full wack council tax owing to me having one exemption period already. Given up some of my extra work as I was just too tired to do it all, but I've got an application form for another job, which would only be 5 days a week, normal office hours and much better money. So fingers crossed for that oneComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
I did wonder if she meant the buzzards or the pheasants ,
, Oooo I feel a bit daft now
I did go back to check if you had put a sniggering smiley in before I posted
I can just see the thread now...Can I cook a buzzard in my slow cooker.
Just trying out some flapjack in My Mate Moski, poor thing, it'll be glad of rest tonight.
I also attempted soup and stewed some rhubarb earlier.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
