Ooooh evaporated milk - mix into a jelly and you get a nice fruit mousse type thing - I think it's usually equal parts. The raspeberry ones are luv-er-ley... Could you also add it to something like Angel Delight or make a nice latte coffee with it?But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0

Hi Everyone
Have to be brief. I'm reading but computer crashes when I try to post. DH fine now. ((Hugs)) to everyone who needs oneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hi there
I must admit I am not keeping up too well with you all and it will only get worse when I am deployed on Friday on a part-time basis to HQ. It will be full-time in January. I have been running a satelite office on my own for 16 years and not sure how I will adapt to being in a 'pool'! Not looking forward to that and have thrown two huge tearful wobblies this week already. I think DH has the tissue box ready again just in case I do another tonight!
Anyway my problems are small. Love and hugs to those feeling under the weather, those with folk in hospital, going to be having surgery etc. and those who just are having trouble with daily life

- the result is an abundance of birdlife - common buzzard is a regular visitor and recently we have 'acquired' some pheasants. However, we heard a shot the other night and have only seen the one since - Hope nobody has taken them , they are gorgeous birds, but they do taste good too
Evening all,
mehefin, do you mean people eat buzzards ? we quite often see them round here and I can't imagine anyone eating one, they are so beautiful.
Squigly, thanks for the tip re the rice bags, we do have one but I dont think they hold the heat for as long as a hot water bottle, hope you are well, oh by the way my OH has just phoned to say he is in MrT and they have a new Kath Kidston bag, he is getting me one, I will let you know what its like.
Kathy, thanks for the good wishes re DD's sore throat, it seems a bit better now, lets hope it gets no worse. What a sad story about that little girl, I hope she gets some pleasure out of the bits you are sending her.
Got in from work, shoved the dinner in, chicken with sticky BBQ sauce, HM wedges with thai spice and chilli powder, I fried some mushrooms that needed using, and have them keeping warm in the oven, and will do some brocoli when OH gets in.
Had a nice hot bath, and am now relaxing for a while, scrap that OH has just pulled up  , will catch up with the rest of the thread later,
Hugs where needed xx0 -

oh by the way my OH has just phoned to say he is in MrT and they have a new Lath Kidston bag, he is getting me one, I will let you know what its like.
Oh oh oh oh oh oh....!!!!!!I might be asking you to ask him to go back & get me one...!!! I was in our Mr T's earlier (I needed milk!) and there weren't any new ones - I've been keeping a beady eye out as I was sure the new designs must be imminent... I use my 3 I've got so far ALL the time, I adore them. I've also got a couple of stripey ones put aside to fill with other "shabby chic" style goodies for a couple of people's Christmas presents. My brother's girlfriend loves CK, so she will be chuffed. In fact, I'm going to Bognor tomorrow, PM me & tell me which MrT has the bags (I'll dive in on the way.. )
GrannyB, ((((hugs)))) for you, sounds like it will be a big change, hope it is better than you expect it to be.
Am also going to make up some sort of pamper basket for my aunty as my mum rang earlier to tell me she had been for results following a mammogram & biopsy, and they confirmed lump was cancerous. However, they seem quite positive as she has been told she should only need medication (well, to me that seems positive?). So I think as she has 3 selfish (adult) children, but she always will help me out, I am going to make her a pampery basket & take it round Friday.Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)0 -
