OS Daily thread Wed 24 September

Hi, this is the OS Daily thread for 24th September. It is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning, I seem to be the first one today.
Up a little later today, although it feels like I've had hardly any sleep.
Good to see Stefe back with us last night
I'm in work today, so tea will be something from the Remoska :rotfl:
Hope everyone is well and all those job hunting are sucessful, well done to Mellika & her OH on their good news.
Hugs to those who are poorly and huge hugs to those with poorly family and loved ones.
Love to all The Twit :grouphug:

Still jealous of the Remoska - what size did you get? I bet you can't wait to play with it!
Leftover chicken for tea - I'm making a curry tonight
I think I'm coming down with something, my throat is killing me, so having some cold OJ at the moment.

Morning.
Back to work today after 4 days off. I managed to get loads of stuff done too, so things are looking much tidyer about the place. Still more to do while it's dry, so I should have time for that over the next few weeks.
I checked our bees yesterday and the horrible wet cold summer means there is no honey surplus for us. Hopeless state of affairs.
Well has Gordon inspired you to feel good about his goverment? What a load of tripe that was... I am still paying for my medicine, my internet and giving him most of my wages in tax.....
Well I shall try to enjoy the day anyway..... CheersNO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

Morning all
well house is nasty due to not knowing where I was supposed to be flying and spending all my time in beggared computer land. it will all have to wait until tonight after w*rk though. Still trying to sort out the morning dynamics too. both girls leave really early and it's causing bathroom mayhem. I could lie in bed until they're gone but they are so noisy there's not a lot of point really.
Have a great day everyoneI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Morning all
It's dark, windy and raining. Have had to do some washing so shall put it on the airer in a bit. Just me and the cats up, lovely and quiet.
STEFEJB was wondering where you were, quite a few people are missing, hope they are all ok.
MORWENA hope you feel better soon.
Big hugs to anyone who needs one, MARIE especially you and yours.
Looks like I may not get down the allotment today, so shall carry on trying to de-clutter my tip of a house! Problem is if it's only cupboards it doesn't look like you've done anything.
Dinner tonight is sausage casserole, found some venison sausages lurking in the back of the freezer so shall cook them as Delia suggests with red wine:D .
Off for a shower, have a good day all.

Morning all,
Looks dark and gloomy here today, and its sooo cold, this is the first time I have really noticed it, the heating will not be put on yet though. I ordered two hot water bottles with fleecy covers on ebay last night, so hope fully they will keep the chill off. :T
Morweena, my dd has woken with a sore throat too, aparantely is is running rife through her school, hope you feel better soon xx
Amie, hugs to you and DD xx
Something with chicken for tea tonight, might do a sticky BBQ sauce and wedges.
Off to work today, not too bad, finish at 3, and got lots to get done, will swish and swipe round before I go, also rubbish and recycling need to go out this morning.
Marie hugs to you and dh xxx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all
Late start for me today, BIL forgot to order the stuff he needed for the next job, so no work for hubby for a few days, still at least BIL1 paid him up to date, still waiting for cheque from BIL2, it's a few weeks late now.
I'm off to work soon & am just hoping Occ H can arrange for some changes to be made.
I need to have a look in the freezer to find something for tea & the go & find my wellys, it's chucking it down here.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning all
Well, it is getting harder to get up in the morning as it is slowly getting darker
Looked after DGD yesterday, and it was lovely to be able to take her out in the car, and as she is now walking, it means less chasing around.
Dinner last night was a bit of a rush, so it was ready made lasagne heated up in the Remoska and DH called for some chips. Tonight it is pork chops, potatoes, carrots and beans (done in the Remoska). I am working, so will set the time to come on at 5.00 and then it will be ready when we get in. I love my Remoska :T
Anyway, time to take Charlie out, catch you all later xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Good Morning All
N9eav - I saw a bit of his speech - didnt do anything for me. To be truthful I am starting to avoid the news nowdays.
Very wet here this morning must have rained a lot in the night. House is a complete tip and my ironing pile isnt going down as have been so busy with work the last couple of days.
Feel bad as have got Tai Chi this morning and hairdressers after so will be out of the house sometime, however OH has told me to go and that he will start on the house when he gets up.
So it looks like I will be having a 'me' day then I will dedicate the next two days completely housework and ironing.
Think its bacon and eggs for tea tonight which I will do in the remoska - nice and easy.
Hope you all have a good day.
