Honeypop - CONGRATULATIONS!!! :T It just goes to show that there really is hope for us all yet!
My first reflexology session last night was extremely interesting, highlighting some areas of my health that the docs have never even broached. I suffer from rhinitis pretty much all year round, worse during the hayfever season. The nasal passages are full of mucus just like the reproductive organs, and when that mucus doesn't do its job properly in the nose it causes problems.... it follows therefore that maybe that's reflected in other parts of my body. DH thinks it's all a load of tosh, but I'm prepared to be open minded, and a lot of what the therapist said made sense. I've been asking the docs for years to get to the root of my rhinitis, but just get fobbed off with yet another steroid nasal spray prescription. I'm trying to stop using them and just deal with it naturally.T he therapist reckons she can work on this, along with other things we discussed, through my feet.
And in the meantime I'll book that appointment to hopefully get referred to a fertility specialist while I'm in a positive frame of mind!0 -
Yay honeypop!! Big congratulations to you! :j
Good luck and best wishes for the coming months :T:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hiya Everyone :hello:
Just trying to catch up with the boards a bit after my hols, and I found you all - wondered where the 'old timers' from TTC had got to! Can I join you please? As those who have migrated from the TTC thread will know, I've been on this rollercoaster for several years now, and I'm getting really fed up of the ride now....
Many congrats Honeypop!
I'm having another emotional day - as I posted yesterday on TTC, the FC has decided that I can't start the next ICSI cycle as my BP is too high.
Actually that would explain several symptoms I've had over the last year since the ectopic last Xmas, like headaches, nausea, dizzy spells.
I've actually never felt 'well' since the methotrexate injections to bring on the MC, and knowing that I'm so stressed over the whole TTC thing (and also the breast lump thing in the middle of it all!), and I have a form of vertigo (BPPV)which makes me dizzy from time to time, I didn't really think any more about the symptoms. I seem to have been on some form of meds or other for so long that I don't think I remember what it feels like to feel 'normal' anymore!
I have put on quite a bit of weight too, as I'm a 'comfort eater' and I confess have been resorting to drinking quite a drop of wine to help counter the stress and help me sleep. Having PCOS also makes losing weight a nightmare for me, and I know that (like a lot of other long-term TTCers) I am actually quite depressed a lot of the time - but we can't tell our consultants as they wouldn't let us have fertility treatments, and we couldn't take anti-depressants and still TTC....
Well, sorry for the long & moany post - just not in a good place today I'm afraid. Off to the GP's this afternoon (to see a locum whose name I can't even pronounce!) to try to convince them to give me meds to bring my BP down, just hope I canamange the appt without bursting into tears...again!

Big hugs to you FairyElephant!!!!!
I know I put some weight in in the recent months (as much as 5kg in just as many months!!!!) I am trying to get to grips with it, but I had been way to Norway for a training course last week and came back with a full kg on top of what I had before! I am getting scared sometimes how fast my weight changes!!!! Just - in the wrong direction... No, I'll be fine - received my Wii Fit back from Nintendo, just need to get on cracking with the exercise. We agreed to go folk dancing again and after I buy a new swimsuit this weekend, I might go swimming once a week... (Obviously, I'll just come home and sit on the sofa for the rest of the evening...)Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Oh Fairy elephant, you've really been through it haven't you!? Hope the doctors appointment goes ok and you get what you need and hold it together.
Thanks girls for the congrats, I was kind of thinking of deleting my post after I posted it but I know now it was ok.0 -
I thought long and hard about posting it on here, it was actually on my mind most of the night (as I lay awake) and I felt guilty kind of, but in the end I thought I'm not a newbie who no-ones knows, I've been on the TTC threads since the other one started and hopefully some of you 'know' who I am (if that makes sense), and I would be pleased if it was 'one of us long-timers'.
Well as one of those who grumbled about the posting of BFPs I'd just like to say a big congratulations, and thanks for posting!
As you say, you earned your stripes on the ttc thread, and gives hope to us all. Hope the rest of the pg goes swimmingly.
