Miss Pink, congratulations and best wishes for the coming months! :j

Are you going to carry on collecting samples for Clearblue? I'm sure I read that they give you vouchers for doing so?
Do you think using the monitor helped or not?

Hi, don't think I am going to keep collecting. It's a bit of a pain in the butt.

I also don't really think it helped. I had lows and highs but no peak.

The only thing me and my hubby did different last month was have s£x every day (sorry if tmi)

I know you are supposed to do it every 2-3 days but I read somewhere that some womens eggs don't last as long as others so we decided that from cycle day 1 we would BD every morning and I lay there for 30 mins afterwards and enjoyed my toast and tea.

    Again sorry if tmi :o

    Thanks for the well wishes.

    Good luck to all xxx

In TCOYF book, if OH has normal sperm count, it suggest to BD every day, only if sperm count is not as good, it says to BD every other day...

I purchased a clear blue monitor. I'm on my 2nd cycle of using it,got a peak on CD8,but not sure if I actually OV'd as AF didn't arrive until CD37 - and as far as I am aware AF should pay her visit 14 days after ovulation !!!! Anyway gonna keep using it because it makes me feel as if I'm "doing something" on our TTC journey.
  • Thanks Lilo and Rosie Bud for the warm welcome!

AF came today as expected so feeling a bit blue (as usual!!).

The ol' biological clock thing is really getting to me too. I never really was that bothered about children until I met my DH about 4.5 years ago. Wish we'd just started going for it straight away rather than being 'sensible'.

I've tried the ovulation sticks, but didn't really get a conclusive result with them. The saliva microscope was a bit strange too. According to that I was OVing from days 6 - 9, but I can see from others on the previous thread that the microscope didn't work for them either. I may invest in something a bit more wizzy and digital this month, that can store all the results rather than relying on me writing them down and doing science!

And big congratulations to Mrs Pink!!
  • Congratulations on the BFP Miss Pink! It's fabulous to see them on this thread now!

I've not posted for a while as I'm trying really hard to keep this whole ttc thing in the background as much as I can. It means I only think about it for about 99% of the time instead of 199% of the time ;) .

I can thoroughly recommend reflexology. Not necessarily for ttc - that has yet to be proven and I live in hope - but for anyone who loves having their feet pampered a whole hour of someone massaging them properly is absolute heaven! I was lying there covered in a blanket to keep me nice and cosy warm, and was in such a relaxed state that these amazingly vivid dream-like thoughts and images kept drifting through my mind. I was definitely not asleep though, I'm certain of that. The good news is that the therapist gleaned from my feet that I'm a well balanced person (is there a pun there somewhere?!) with nothing that causes her concern. I need to do a detox diet before my next session to purge my body of any toxins - I've even convinced DH to do it to, though I'll believe it when I see it!

Good luck everyone - I'm not posting much, but I'm lurking daily :D xx

I bought the monitor but am only on cycle three testing it. As well as the monitor, I am taking temps every morning. During these three months, I haven't ov'd at all.

I can report a heightened hormone level for the last two days (the first time in three months), but my temperature hasn't yet raised so I haven't yet ov'd.

As mentioned previously, it wasn't until I went to the GP's that I realised I should have been doing more than just waiting for nature to take its course after 2 years 8 months of trying! Naive, but there you go!
