Doc was incredibly helpful - told me to do another home test, and if its negative, its probably just me being too fat!

    Are you overweight?

I am and I asked my doctor if there was any way to shorten my cycle and she said that because I am overweight there isn't much can be done. Apparently fat makes the male hormone which in turn can play havoc with a womans cycles.

If you are "normal" bodyweight then ignore me :D

I am overweight, although I've been heavier and its not affected my periods. They were normal and regular, and just stopped all of a sudden. Don't know what I'd have liked him to do, just anything other than blame my weight!

Hmmm that does seem odd. They don't just "stop" for no reason. I'd go back, see someone else and get a second opinion.

    Hope you get sorted.

Well, I am overweight and my cycles are more or less regular (+/-1 day). My BMI is 32 and it seems to be creeping up weekly!!!!

    Morning ladies (and Meltrix)!

How is everybody today? Hope all is well. This thread has been quiet over the weekend! Everyone must be too busy bding, lol!

Well, I have an anxious day today. I find out tomorrow if I am going to be made redundant! Very nervous and agitated today and I also feel like I am coming down with a cold so really not the best day and will probably be the longest one ever! I do have an interview lined up for tomorrow afternoon for if I do get laid off but as I'm ttc I would really rather not have to be looking for another job. Would be a right pain in the derriere! AnnieM over on the other thread had posted some links for me re maternity pay, etc so feel better about the whole thing than I did before. Just really inconvenient to be honest. Makes ttc a bit of a nuisance but gonna see what tomorrow brings before I really start panicking.

Also gonna ring the doctors today to see if they have my blood test results (that was taken while AF was here) so hopefully they will be ok too. Something about LFH levels, or something like that.

Where is everyone else at today? Good moods, sad moods or bad moods? More importantly, any BFPs?

    Rosie xx

Hi Ginvzt, I am exactly the same! I am going for my fertility blood test today (day 6). My periods are like clockwork, but no ovulation seems to be occurring (according to the fertility home monitor). Although GP said I was not a risk with my weight as I am not (quite) categorised as obese. I am going to make a real effort to lose some though - if only so I don't have problems later.

I have an appointment at the fertility clinic at the hospital late November and I am convinced it will help for me to lose a little weight and start taking temps, etc so I have some records to take along with me.

Hope everyone has a good day.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

I am trying to lose weight - just it seems doesn't want to leave me and put on another half a kilo in a week!!!! Need to get grips on this! I did have EWCM this weekend (I am sure - I read all about it in TCOYF book and I did the glass test). We did BD, now I just need to OV.... (well, I usually notice the temperature jump, but haven't had one this month yet)

Finally got round to doing a test. I put it off, hate seeing a BFN. Imagine my suprise when I got two lines?! 12 weeks today. I honestly had given up hope of having a baby, I had resigned myself to the fact that I wasn't able to concieve. I'm in shock.

I feel bad for having been here for such a short time. I've had four neices and nephews concieved while I've been TTC, and countless friends. Part of me feels 'sad' to post this, when I know how it feels to have to smile and congratulate people when all along wishing I could just have a baby.

Will be thinking of you all in your TTC journeys xx

Hi ladies, well AF finally arrived on cd37 - me thinks that my bodies started playing games with me,as I've never, ever been this late before.

Just been and had my LH blood test today, along with others for HIV,Hep,and something else I can't remember, in preparation for or appointment with the fertility clinic next week - Has anybody got any ideas of questions that might be helpfully to ask ?

Fingers crossed for you Rosie Bud,hope everything works out with your job - stress apparently is supposed to be a big no no when TTC,but unfortunately there isn't a lot we can do about it.

    Heres to some BFP !!!!
