Thanks to you all for your advice and links to other websites, they seem really good.
I bought a copy of the book "Taking control of your fertility" by Toni Welcher today so have a bit of bedtime reading!
I will try to keep relaxed. Stebbie xx0 -
robert winstons book "getting pregnant" is also a good one. You are not alone though so many people have such problems conceiving, it becomes obsessional! Try not to let it take over your life!0

got to admit babycentre is fab !!!! also you dont need to be reading now honey, just relaxing and loving !!!!
..lots of lovely bubbly baths and candles, nice romantic nights in and dont let it worry you. It can take some couples a lot longer than others to get pg, i know from being there it is frustrating when you arent and everyone else is, but try to enjoy the activily trying stage, before it becomes a chore.0 -

I don't know where you have been getting ovulation tests from, but I used them (and discovered I ovulated on day 17 of 28, which I didn't expect) and bought them online at https://www.earlypregnancy.co.uk who are really efficient and will save you a fortune if you have been buying on the high street.
After 9 months trying to fall with my first, I am now 8 months pregnant with second!
Good luck and try not to worry - even if everything is exactly hunky dory every month, you only have a 1 in 4 chance of conceiving, so it's common to take over a year.

The trick is to time intercourse at the most fertile period of your cycle.
We used this plan and were successful first time. One of my best friends' used it and got a positive this week and I know from other forums that lots of other people owe their positives to this plan too.

Lots of luck!0 -
Try to relax, I know this is difficult, you truly never realize how it is difficult to get pregnant until you start trying. I agree with the advice that if you haven't got pregnant within a year consult your doctor. However I had an ectopic pregnancy and got pregnant again 2 weeks later. Miracles do happen!!0

The temperature and mucus monitering is used for the rhythm method of contraception as well! It does however take a few months of VERY carefully monitering your temperature (with a fertility thermometer which is more accurate and detailed than a normal one, available from Boots) to know the right time.
Don't make love every night, keep it once a week. The less you make love, the higher and more concentrated your husbands sperm count will be when you do.
Eat zinc-rich foods such as seafood, nuts, pulses etc as these are good for fertility.
If you smoke and drink, cut down or better still, give up! Your whole lifestyle can affect your fertility and not looking after yourself properly by smoking, drinking and not eating properly can reduce your chances of conception.
Good luck.
Don't forget that it can take an average of 10 months for a normal, healthy couple to conceive so just be patient.Watch out people. You don't know what lurks around the corner for you![/SIZE]0 -
