I have Telewest cable, an earlier poster said it was fantastic. We must have someone on this string that has all the technical know how and can post their results. Come on, this set was over a grand less than 10 months ago and I can't believe people would put up with the terrible picture quality. If it was really bad surely a google would pick up bad reports / reviews.
Also, I don't think it is possible to return under distance selling after it has been used for a couple of days. So what reason could be used ?

I want Dell to pay for pick up, as far as i'm concerned the TV is faulty as it simply isn't suitable for watching DVD's.
A lot of people say you should always check LCD screens in shops, as if you are used to CRT then you will probably be disappointed by LCD (although not THIS disappointed)Titch0 -
Before I get mine out of the box I am going to speak to Dell first to see were I stand if I open it. If the picture is as bad as some of the photo's, I agree they must be faulty.0

I just tried to call Dell to find out about returns policy and couldn't believe that they close at 6pm. This is an international company that should work around the clock even if it means a call centre in India.
Mine is on order so I am thinking of cancelling depending on what else people say in this forum.0 -

Taken from Dells site but I doubt if they will pick up for free as kmkmkm would like, although I think they should. Totally at a loss as to all internet reviews that were good and how this tv could ever have been close to a grand???

I have just received my tv and as far as i'm concerned it is not faulty. You are just not used to watching tv on an lcd screen. Most LCD TV have some sort of pixelation. The response time is pretty slow but most of us should have known this by it's specs....
I've yet to test it with a playstation game, that will be the true tester.Envy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0 -
I am willing to take a chance and let them deliver it, but if its not what they say it is, it will be going back. I will also try to get a free return as it would be faulty.
I don't expect a picture as good as a CRT as I have a DLP Tv for my main tv, they are the same "sit to close and they look cr**.0 -
Just a tip for everyone - if you watch a widescreen movie on your LCD reduce the picture on the screen to take the widescreen movie....the quality is then EXCELLENT. Nothing wrong at all, no pixelation or ghosts at all.Envy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0

With regards to returns. How do you respond to them in writing because from what I have seen of Dell's email system they very rarely reply or show any sign of getting the emails in the first place. Do they have a snail mail add? Also to return it at our own cost will be a small fortune I imagine, I know someone stated 13quid earlier but it must be more than that?0

You must have a totally different TV than me. I've done this and much more and there's so much ghosting it's like Halloween. Compared to CRT, it's horrendous.Titch0 -
Is this LCD TV really as bad as people are saying as mine should be delivered by Friday, bought it to go in my bedroom and it is not the biggest bedroom length wise so will the picture be bad?
Is anyone satisfied with the TV?
Does anyone know if Dell have a good refund policy?0
