Agree with what you say about people being negative but I am being honest. Picture is not terrible just not as good as my CRT's, DVD definitely struggles with the blacks and even found faces were like rubber and appear to wobble...not on acid but felt like it (or what I think it would be like). I am just giving an honest opinion that may help others.
Can you tell me what "setting up via component" involves, what about all these other leads on top of scart, can I use them to improve somewhat?
Thanks
TFS
Don't get mixed up with composite, if you don't have component, better going with a good fullywired scart.0 -

Apologise for my ignorance, what do you mean?0 -
I wouldn't come to judgements so early
I bet half of you got it straight out of the box and straight into the living room?
You have to remember these have been stored in VERY COLD warehouses / depots for a few days so it needs time to warm up ... LCDs also take a bit to 'settle in' so give it a couple of days and see if anything has improved0 -

It all depends what sky box/dvd player and leads you already have.
If its a normal sky box (not a sky+160) Then you would connect it to the lcd via a SCART cable (In RGB mode)
Does your dvd player have component out on the back? Three connectors close to each other that are RED GREEN & BLUE? If so then you'd only need to pick up some leads to connect straight into the lcd
The playstation2 can be connected via the correct sony lead which would be either a SCART socket or s-video socket connection into your lcd.
more info would narrow it down.
Cheers

The LCD is only !!!!!! good as the feed it is giving, don't expect brilliant pictures from analogue, sky or freeview. From what I have seen analogue is the worse pictures, followed by sky, freeview, dvd. It isn't because the lcd is at fault there just show imperfections of old technology. They come into there own when they have digital inputs and high resolutions, both sky and freeview display low resolutions. Hook these up to a pc and the picture is astounding with HD videos.
You do get use to the picture after a few days, as I did and tbh I did relaise that pictures wouldnt be as good as a crt because they aint as sensitive as a lcd.
You really need a digital feed at teh end of the day.
I don't have this tv but I do have a Samsung HD LCD 26".0 -

Many thanks for the detailed and speedy reply.
I have a normal Sky box. As for my DVD player, I will have to check later on today as it is in storage as we are having our living room decorated. I know that it is currently connected via SCART, but am not sure if it also has the three connectors you have mentionned above.
*EDIT* If it helps, I can tell you it is a Thomson DTH220U
The thing is, if I am going to purchase this I want to do it while the room is getting done, so then I can get the builders to fit the wall mounting etc..
One more question....any way of reducing all the wires..as obviously it wont look that great having loads of wires coming from the wall down to where the dvd/sky box etc are.
Apologies if I am being a pain!0 -

The way to minimise cables would be have a scart 'switch box' where you run your sky/dvd/ps2 into and then select which input you want. You would then only have one scart lead going upto the lcd panel (Along with the power cable of course). Problem is you would lose out on the 'component input' quality thats available (And the dvi high quality input)
If buiders are involved at the moment you might want to be looking at getting them to chase out a recess and fit a conduit for cables then skim it over TBH.
Flat leads are available from many online stockists
EDIT - W2600 NOW SOLD OUT0
