This may be a little disjointed, as evil cat wants something and I am not sure exactly what. Unfortunately she is getting more and more impatient and her spikes are now out!
Little bear is having a nap. He is so full of cold and teething, but I think he is running out of teeth to teeth (if you see what I mean) so I am hoping that I will have a bit of a respite with them. Dear heart is also full of cold, but has gone into work with temperature etc as they need him to go in.
I have a (far too expensive) boned leg of lamb that I was talked into by darling father in Makro in the oven with some rosemary from the garden. After that has finished I am going to bake some cakes. At least, I have the intention of baking cakes but I, too, am full of cold.
Darling father is going home tomorrow, which is sad.
I just don't know exactly where to start, as the house is all over the place. Actually the house is where it normally is but it seems to be awash with ironing, washing, dust, fluff and evil cat.
Meanmarie - I hope all is well. If your dear heart is getting prompt and proper treatment there is every chance of a full recovery. Wishing you all the luck I can.
Hardup Hester - Perhaps you could book a day off or two when the next delivery is due and suggest that your caretaker (who doesn't do caretaking) sorts it out in your absence.
I have put in a Sainsbury order for next week, which is so much smaller than usual. And it includes vodka for Wannabe Hyacinth's chilli vodka.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Afternoon Guys!
Feeling a little more with it now. Felt awful earlier, just tired.
My helper couldnt come again today so a little gutted about that. She couldnt get a baby sitter again. Her BF text me at 7.30 and said he wasnt sure when she would be able to come this week. I just dont want a baby here.
Have roasted a chicken in the Remoska this morning and OH has peeled spuds and carrots for later. Have a pizza in there ATM for OH's lunch as it needed using up and cooks well in there. Will also part boil the suds later and cook the spuds in there and frozen (cheating today!) yorkies in there too.
Picked DD up from our friends yesterday and they laid out a nice spread for us and a few others. Lots of nice cheeses, ham, pickles and wine etc.....yummy! They all had great fun in the pool and have some brill pictures. Looking at them, it looks like they are abroad the weather was nice. Only there for about 2hrs, but was shattered.
OH is ironing upstairs atm as there were some bits we needed that the helper would have normally done, so he is doing it all.
Have 2 hospital visits tomorrow and must make an appointment for DD to see the GP....she asked this morning, so better not forget.
Anyway, hugs to all (((((((((((meanmarie & OH)))))))))))))))))

Afternoon all
the GC challenge thread may also be easier to keep up with ,,,,that's not what I am on about ...its all the apologizing that people seem to think they have to do
[strike]Sorry to waffle on[/strike] ,,,,but it gets to me,,,,,, that some women come on here to get away from that sort of thing ,,,I also know that there are other threads where they can talk to each other
MS DIVA Kaat - I have stopped posting over on the GC at the moment 'cos I noticed I was one of the highest posters and wanted to try and avoid getting higher on the list! Silly really, but it IS easier to keep up with now and next month I can pace myself better now I have the guidelines to follow. It's just the adjusting that is throwing everyone off their stride, we will all soon be happy again I am sure.MOLIERE Kaat - I've only read the GC thread a couple of times so I don't know what they are like on there! If I come across a thread that gets nasty I run away from it! This thread is wonderful - no-one ever judges you or disrespects your own particular opinion. I always say this is the best thread on the whole of MSE and that's because we are all so nice![/qu ,,ote]
this is the best thread where you can say what you want within reason and as long as it is nice and does not upset anyone or make them have to apologize for posting in an OS' style as it should be ,,It is a friendly thread I agree with Moliere on that
See you later

I agree Kaat, noone should be apologising for posting, it just makes you feel on edge when you are reading it in my opinion, but I am still hopeful that will all stop soon once we get used to the new guidelines.
*hugs*

P.S. You don't need to apologise for 'waffling on' either - you weren't!!To be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
Diva ,,,:A,,,,,I did cross it out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I felt like these cats above ,,,,,,,,,when i kept reading the apologies ,,I used to work in a womens' refuge,,,,, and seen what happens to them ..it just made me boil ,,,,,I am a bit calmer now I have had a shower,,cooled off ... I will still need a DW soon if this one keeps forgetting what its doing,,,I will hate doing dishes by hand as we have not done that for 10 years..:o:o
okay have said enough now
so see you later

Afternoon all,
Have just stopped for some lunch, nice cheese, garlic stuffed olives (poor OH) and some crisps
I am sure the cheese and crisps have no calories cos the olives are soooo healthy
Have hoovered whole house, changed our bed, will do dd's tomorrow, mopped floors, given the bathroom a lick and a promise, and made some cookies, two loads blowing on the line, but the sky is starting to look a bit dark, so will keep a close eye on it.
I went out into the garden and picked some carrots, french beans and spiniach for dinner, the spinach has gone mad, think I might look up a recipe for sag paneer, as I love it, just going to go back and pop in some more carrot seedlings, think that will then be it for this year veg wise.
Mari hugs to you and dh xx

Kaat - I LOVE the dancing kittens!
Meanmarie - hope the scan results are what you want
Candygirl - you never know, your DD may get taken on, these things do happen
WannabeSybil - why not throw evil cat outside for a bit, sort through the washing & put a load of urgent stuff on, suggest that your father takes little bear for a little walk while you sit & do half an hour's ironing.....then you'll have made a start?
Hester - I think that's the best thing to do, you need to stamp your foot to show your new head who really runs the school!
Will catch up again later - love & hugs to all
Floss x0 -
Thank you for all the good luck wishes. I did my best and it went as well as it could have so just a waiting game for now
) They did say that they would try and let us know later today though !!
AMIE399 - Hope the wind blows away any cobwebs and you feel all refreshed. Sorry to hear about DD's heartache, but it happens to the best of us.
Mrs Tittlemouse - glad your migraine's better - I've been having them once a month this year and it's not good!!
Betheebee - Hope DD likes the makeover and that you have a better day than yesterday!!

Hi all. Beth - what an awful day you had yesterday. I do hope you are taking it easy today.
Moneysaving Diva - you may be able to adjust the doors on your cabinet by adjusting one of the hinges slightly. As for the fingermarks on it - try baby oil; it works really well on chrome and stainless steel. Test it on an inconspicuous bit first!
Kaat - I love the kats!
(((Hugs))) to you PenPin. She's really letting you down, isn't she? She should have emergency childcare arrangements in place before she starts this kind of work.
Well, I've been typing letters for the last couple of hours and my eyes are seeing double so I'm going to have a cuppa!
See you all later.
