Guess that 3-legged donkey has stopped for a few pints done at the bar. Totally destroying my posting rate ... I could shove my keyboard were the sun don't shine and f**t the screens quicker than they are appearing

I am also finding the Forums and PMing system virtually unuseable. Taking minutes - sometimes 7 or 8 minutes for a screen to finish loading!

Although Broadband at home, here at work we are still on Dialup :wall: with Freeserve Anytime, using Internet Explorer 6, Connection Speed 42.5 Kbps (Wow - now that's speedy :D - but it used to be fine:confused: ) - based in the East Midlands.

Also, whilst writing, as an early Christmas present could we please have bigger Inboxes for PMing? Now that you have your swanky new servers? Go on, you know you want to say yes! :D

This is the first time I've been able to get on for hours as the pages just hang from the top orange bar downwards.

As the posters above have said, it's not usable in this state so no point in staying logged in.

Incidentally, it all seemed ok late yesterday. I was about to post to say so but I thought it might have been tempting fate so I didn't. Huh! :)

It's obvious from the lask of posts today, that there is a major problem!

Currently Active Users: 1672 (321 members and 1351 guests)

I suppose kicking off the lurkers wouldn't help you get to the bottom of the problem but regular posters are giving up in disgust!

Hope that you can sort it soon!

It's a bit slow for me today, but nothing that would make me "give up in disgust", or make me say it is unusable. I am on a 2MB broadband connection

It has speeded up a lot for me now, it's still not fast, but it is now useable which is hasn't been for most of the day otherwise.

It's a bit slow for me this afternoon, but not too bad. I'm on EFH Broadband, using Firefox, in the London area.

EDIT: Just realised there is another problem.

The email alerts for subscribed threads are behaving a bit strangely. I normally get one alert for a new post and then no more until I visit the thread again. However at the moment, I seem to be getting a new alert for each new post, whether I have visited the thread or not.

It's causing a certain amount of congestion in my inbox. Could someone look at this please?

    Cheers.

With IE it has been completely unusable for most of the day.

With Firefox it's varied between unusable and very slow but it's at least loading the pages this side of midnight.

The 'hanging' problem of a couple of days ago was with IE.

So one of the problems must be something between the software you run and IE

    (2MB NTL connection)

When I subscribed to a thread, I seem to be getting notified of my own posts now. This did not use to be the case, I'm sure. I have not changed my settings.
