Didn't find it, but I found an e-mail which I hadn't seen and which says:

"We also opted to maintain the promotion on a first-come, first-served basis. To make the offer a random selection or lottery would significantly delay the re-launch due to complicated international regulations."

Shame I didn't see this - had I done so I would have realised the need to get my application in as fast as possible and got a number lower than 750!

In order to get one of the more in-demand hotels, it seems you literally had to be lightning quick, getting your form in in about a minute or less!

My partner was offered 2 nights at the Tschuggen Grand on Saturday. He was number 54x and had selected 3 specific choices plus ticked the 'anywhere' box by mistake. The room they had offered us was the cheapest they had available, 2 single beds North facing, normally £360 per night. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere (about 2 hrs 40 by train from Zurich) and as the ski season hasn't started properly yet, its main draw is as a spa retreat.We spent a lot of time on Saturday evening working out the logistics, flights etc of meeting this reservation and concluded that for the expense of travel and entertainment while we were there the booking would cost us around £1000, even with the virtually free room charge. So we were forced to conclude that this was a gift horse in dire need of a dental checkup, and declined the reservation. Hope that someone who can easily make it is offered it. Working all that out, and entering the comp itself, certainly fired the imagination and kept us both entertained for a couple of days!

I did get an email from LHW with info for emailing the hotel in Switzerland. I've just had an email back from them saying that I have to cancel direct with LHW. I'm now trying to do that. Seems a bit as though one hand doesn't know what the other is doing!

i got a confirmation for dates i didnt want, emailed lhw to ask if they can change and they havent got back to me

is it worth going direct to the hotel and trying to change the dates?

Nothing for me yet, I'm waiting for the "thanks but no thanks" email now, just to put me out of my misery. I guess there'll be a lot of us who'll get these in the next couple of days or so. Still, it was fun anyway.

Has anyone received an email yet, confirming that they have not got a room?

It strikes me that there are probably just trying to find someone to take the last room in in the middle of nowhere hotel midweek at the start of November, and then we'll all get our unsuccessfuls.

I think if I'm unsuccessful I will have found it more annoying than entertaining, what annoys me, is that lots of people who only get 1 night particularly if it is not in a first choice location or at the time they wanted will not use them.
