Thank you! I'm so unbearably excited now - driving my work colleagues mad!! One week and counting...

If anyone else gets Switzerland then Swiss Air seem to be the most reasonable and have the most frequent flights - certainly from London City Airport anyway.

My husband has had 2 nights confirmed for Switzerland at The Grand Hotel Quellenhof at the end of November but our problem is getting a flight from Newcastle. We know there are no direct flights so are now looking for the cheapest way to get there, if anyone has any idea's please let me know, also what would be the best and possibly the cheapest transfer from the airport to the hotel.

We did not ask for this hotel, but hoped for a one a little easier for us to get too as we are retired so dates were not a problem.

Last night got the offer of ONE night at Waldhaus Grand Hotel in Switzerland which is in the middle of nowhere, an hour and a half from Zurich. I'm trying to cancel it as its no good to me - would take approx 10 hours to get there from London. Shame, they must be getting a lot returned or just unused if they're sending out a lot of one-nighters. I suppose they want people to pay for another night. I've emailed their 'contact us' site to cancel. Does anyone know of a better way. I'm not paying for a phone call to Switzerland and they say that you can't reply to their emails. Are any more offers coming through still? My mother applied but hasn't heard anything yet.

a couple of posters have really helped me out with travel arrangements and i just managed to get flights with ryanair literally at 11:55 last night - minutes before that ryanair sale finished at midnight.

Not sure what I'm trying to say here, i'm just well chuffed. Good luck to those still waiting you never know! I'd given up hope.

Seems so, someone on flyer talk has had confirmation and his number was 8xx.

I just want to know either way now, my checking of my inbox is becoming a little OCD

You have to email the hotel directly, LHW will reply back soon with the hotel email address.
