  • Hi Folks,

    Hope everybody is ok.

I did not manage to post anything yesterday as I was busy. I was playing football after work, and then had to drive up to bensons beds and order a nice new bed, which looks cool.

Anway here is my update for today and yesterday.

    1) I missed my PAD yesterday. So today I paid two days worth. I paid 2 lots of £5 off my visa bill. I have updated my signature.
    2) Yesterday I managed to save £0.34 in 1p,2p,5p and 10p. I have updated my signature.
    3) Yesterday I also managed to save £0.40 in 20p. I have updated my signature.
4)Yesterday and today I have done my free scratchcards on chit chat bingo and Take a break. However, I will not add this money until paid into my account. This will not be for awhile as you can only withdraw once £10 has been earned.
    5) Today I managed a NSD, taking my total to 6/10.:j

    That is it for now.

    Take care

  • Evening all,

I hope everybody is well and has had a good week.

I have not been busy in work this week, but have been busy paying of debts and saving money outside of work. So I suppose 1 out of 2 is not bad :rotfl:

Anyway, as usual, here is what I have acheived today.

    1) Had a NSD, taking my total to 7/10 for the month.
    2) Saved another £0.80 in 20p.
    3) Saved another £0.45 in 1p,2p,5p and 10p. Every little helps :j
    4) I spent £13.97 on my grocery shopping for next week. That brings my total for the month to £91.50/£90. I can declare now as I get paid next friday and will not need anything else. Unfortunately I am £1.50 over my budget, but I am quite pleased as I needed to stock up at the begining of the month.
    5) I have managed to pay a further £6.45 off my visa bill today.
    6) I also did my free scratchcards on chit chat bingo and take a break this morning winning 10p on each one. However, you cannot withdraw until you have ten pounds. Anyway keeps things ticking over.
    7) I also had a go at the no lose bingo on take a break tonight. Did not win, but you get your money back so it was a bit of fun. Better luck next time.
    8) Also did a couple of surveys tonight, but will have to wait a while before getting money or vouchers.

Well I think that is it for today. I think I have done quite well.

Tommorow I am hoping to post some books on amazon and do some daily clicks and scratchcards and maybe even some more no lose bingo.

  • Morning all,

I hope everybody is good and has a good weekend.

I am stuck in the house today as I have a stonking cold. I was meant to be going out with my girlfriend and her daughter for the day, nevermind.

Anyway I suppose staying in will give me a chance to get some jobs done. I know I should put my feet up and relax, but there is always lots to do and I hate sitting around doing nothing.

So here is my list for today. I think I have put too much on it, but I suppose I should set my targets high. :rotfl:

    1) Daily scratchcard - Completed and won £1 and 20p.
    2) Daily Clicks - Completed
    3) Surveys - Completed
    4) Matched betting - Completed.
    5) The national lottery. Heh everybody can dream, it is a rollover - Completed. fingers crossed.
    6) Update wattson info (for those of you who do not know, a wattson is one of those pieces of kit that measures how much electricity you use around the home). I borrowed one from work for 4 weeks. This is the end of week one.
    7) Feed birds. I like having birds in my garden and at the moment the bird table is empty - Completed.
    8) Ironing (Huge pile alert) - Completed, although I though I wouldn't
    9) No lose bingo (tonight between 8-10).
    10) PAD (Payment a day off my debt) - Completed
    11) Put some books on amazon
    12) Clean bathrooms
    13) Keel over and die after doing all the above :rotfl: :rotfl:
    14) Make some watercress soup for next week

    Take care

  • Fantastic just won £1 on one free scratch card and 20p on the other free one. Maybe it knows I am poorly :rotfl:

Oh I also forgot that I also need to make some watercress and carrot soup for lunch times next week so I have added that to the list.

    Hello Money Fritter

I just found your thread last night and read most of it which made me go to bed too late :rotfl: .Caught up with it all now.
Don't you have willpower? I'm rubbish at sorting out my finances.

Could you tell me about the daily clicks and which sites have them please.
Also whats this matched betting, is it a bit hard for a thicko like me. :D

    I have started saving 1p, 2p,s & 5p's so it's a start.

Anyway enjoyed reading it and will log in again to see if you have updated.

    Bye Binnie
    xx
  • Hi Binnie,

I did not use to have will power, that is how I got into this mess. I have joined lots of challenges to try and save and earn as much money as possible.

The daily clicks are great, but you have to be patience, as the money can take awhile to come. There is a thread called daily clicks, which is run and set-up by eager learner. I will try and find the link for you. You need to have a look through that thread and PM a person called EagerLearner as she has done a guide that she will send to your e-mail address.

    Then fire away.

I also do the grocery challenge to try and cut down my spending and then put any extra I save off my debts. I also do the NSD (no spend day) challenge which encourages you not to spend. One of my major problems in the past was to draw ten pounds out here and there and then spend it all and then draw another ten pound out.

There is also a match betting thread as well which explains things, although it took me awhile to get my head around it.

    Take care

    P.S

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=609037 This is the daily clicks link

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=41 This is the matched betting link

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1378403 This is the grocery challenge link for Jan. However, it is a bit late to start now. You would be better waiting for the Feb one to start. You can find the thread on Money saving old style. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=33

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1382113 This is the link for the NSD for Jan. However, you might want to wait until the feb thread starts. That can be found on the debt free wannabe forum.

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1384751 I also do this challenge, which is to try and make a payment off debts everyday, if you have any. It can be as small or as large a payment as you like

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1376177 This link is also good, it is a challenge were you try and make £10 per day, or less, or more, whatever you feel comfortably with. You then try and earn extra money using daily clicks, matched betting, bingo, cashback, surveys, whatever. There are lots of details on this link. Again this is the Jan one, But there will be a Feb one starting up eventually.

Hope this helps and good luck

Oh thanks Money Fritter. I managed to find a free scratch card site and I was awarded a free £5. I played a few games and won another £5, but frittered it all away and lost the lot.
Maybe I should be called Binnie Fritter :)
  • Hi Folks,

Well I did not managed to get all my jobs done today, the day is catching up on me and because I am feeling sick, I think I am going to go to bed. Just wanted to post. Not a great deal to report today.

However I did manage a NSD today, as I was stuck in all day. That takes my total to 8/10.

Also managed to win some money on matched betting and managed to pay another £10 off my visa card.

I will try and complete my list tommorow. I did not get chance to play any no lose bingo as I have not had my money back yet from fridays games. Apparently, at the weekend, you do not get the money back until monday.

Anyway I have updated my signature and I will see you all again tommorow.

Binnie I hope you find the links useful, I certainly did.

    Hi Money Fritter
Hope you are feeling better today. My eye has been swollen since last Monday eve, and it's just started to go down now.
    Must be run down.
Anyway looking forward to your updates.

    Bye for now
  • Hi Folks,

Hope everybody is ok and has had a good weekend. I am feeling a bit better today Binnie. I actually managed to get out of the house today as I was going stir crazy couped up in the house. I went for a walk to a place called Gibside. It is a national trust placed. The fresh air did me good, although I am feeling tired tonight.

    I have :

    1) Managed to get all my ironing done tonight, it was mammoth. I cannot let the pile get that big again. However, I always say that.
    2) I managed to pay £15.78 off my visa bill today.
    3) I also managed to save one 20p.
    4) I have managed to reduced my debt free date by another month to july 2015.
5)I did three daily free scratch cards today and won 0.45p.
    6) Checked my e-mail this morning and there was no surveys for today. Hopefully some will appear tommorow. However, I did do a good survey yesterday, and hopefully there is a follow up survey which could be very lucurative, but we will just have to wait and see.

I did not manage any daily clicks today. Hopefully I will get some done tommorow. Also I need to sign up to dooyoo and slice the pie for reviews. I still need to put some books on amazon. There just is not enough time in the day.

    Well bye for now.

    Take care

    Money Fritter

P.S. I hope you eye gets better soon Binnie.
