Don't know your personal details but if you are single, unemployed and have no commitments I would suggest you buy a cheap flight somewhere and start a new life. Countries in S$$$ state so what have you got to lose..:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

I'm sorry to say if you weren't paying attention, you are just as much at fault as the cashier who made the error so, yes you are liable for it.
Sorry.....and good luck
if the cashier confirmed it was £4000, then it was the cashier's fault. Granted she may have made a mistake.
I would still ask for it to be proven that you get the extra £1000, how do they know you got the extra money and not the 3rd customer behind you or another cashier or even manager. How do you know that when they found that £1000 was missing and went around all customers accusing them and seeing who owns up to it.
I would say in the long run they will prove that you got it but dont give them any money untill they do. If they do involve the police i would welcome that cos then they cant bully you into paying.
be prepaired to pay it back but not untill its proven.0 -
What a dodgy story :rotfl:
1. You bought a car from a trader with no address
2. You took £4k out the bank without checking they gave you the right amount
3. You handed over said money without counting it
&
4. What has this got to do with credit cards?!!
Very strange story but made me laugh :rotfl:0 -
Doesnt the bank technically now own 1/5th of your car as well?!!0

No, they own 1/4 of it, the price agreed was £4000, not £5000, albeit Rothschilds gave him £5K, thus the bank have a quarter share of the new acquisition.0 -
don't be rude; he has made a mistake; its life.0

I find it strange that the cashier was the one who came to deliver the letter...seems dodgy to me0

If he's got any money left he could purchase a canoe0 -
yes the bank said they have video footage of the cashier giving me 5000. The cashier didn't confirm how much she put in. She just put it into the envelopes. The manager rang me and wanted the money back, and I exlpained the situation to him. I think they might involve the police, but I cannot trace the other guy back.0
