It's not the issue of making people wait, it's not wanting to make it obvious in front of many people that you're about to walk out into the street with a large sum of money.not_loaded wrote: »2) Last time I got a similar amount it was £1000 per bundle and ‘flip’ counted in front of me. I paid attention.
The money I withdrew had already been counted and put in envelopes.not_loaded wrote: »You don’t get a receipt when receiving, you get one when giving.
Exactly. When I withdrew £4000 from Abbey I wasn't given a receipt and didn't expect one as they hadn't received anything from me!.0 -

:rotfl: So all those people getting Family Allowance and Working Families Tax Credit through unwanted pregnancies must give the money back :TI am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0 -

Could the trader and the cashier know eachother?

I got called by the actual cashier that counted money out to me, she was properly stressed out, she hadn't as it goes given me and more/less than she should have but clearly had to someone... the person is probably less likely to be fired if they get the money back.0

Could you clarify one thing for me? What are these "bus" things that you refer to?

No receipt ? i have NEVER taken money from the bank over the counter and not been given a receipt
sounds well dodgy mate
Rubbish. When you take money to a bank you get a receipt, not when you take it out over the counter.
The only 'receipt' in this case would be the money being debited from the account and appearing on the statement.I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0 -

So in Harry's story, it's possible that they have no idea who they gave the extra money to, and they're just targeting him because he made one of the larger cash withdrawals of the day from that branch.U withdrew £4k and 'didnt get a receipt?!' ROFLMFAO :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:WOW WOW WOW :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It's amazing that some of the people posting on this thread have such strong views about something they seem to have absolutely no experience of..0 -
Does anyone else think this is dodgy? what not paying attention when the cashier was counting out the money? Its a lot of money. When I've got cash before from the Nationwide I've always had the money counted out in front of me and felt very vulnerable carrying it back to the car.Hoping noone in the bank queue was following me.0
