BT Broadband £5/month

Hi,
I would be very interested to know, having read through this posting, how you get BT BB for £5.00 or even £9.49 a month. I left them last year when I was paying £14.99 to go to Pipex for a cheaper monthly charge (as I only get 512 Kb service). I requested my MAC code from Pipex last week, having read of the problems with Tiscali, and because I want to return to BT for unlimited usage (with Pipex I got 2GB a month and paid for anything over!) I keep getting phoned by BT to ask if I want to transfer to them and they are offering me £12.99 for a years contract. Do I have negotiating powers here to get the price reduced? Any thoughts would be appreciated.0 -
Been with Bt for years for broadband was paying £14.99 called last week and advised i was going to move they quickly adjusted the monthly payment to £9.49 on a new 12 month contract and gave me a new wireless hub free !!0

Thanx 1618, are you on a 10Gb allowance for this price or lower? As soon as my lady from BT rings I will see what I can do (that is of course if my MAC code from Pipex has arrived)0

You don't seem to have responded to my question posted last week, are you on limited or unlimited usage with BT for £9.49? I have involved OFCOM now in my quest to get Pipex to issue my MAC code (originally applied for on 13 Mar!) and then want to migrate back to them. Unfortunately my local exchange only has BT wholesale to any other offers of cheap BB, revert back to higher amounts after 3 months. Still having got used to 512 Kb of BB what would I do with 8 Mb?0
