Where is Wharton park at SusanC? dont think i have ever heard of it
It's near the city centre - high up near to the train station.
Chester le Street Riverside park is nice too. Lots of things to play on, you can feed the ducks in the river, nice walks and there's a cafe and toilets. There's a paddling pool open in the summer months.
Check there is no cricket on before you visit otherwise you'll never get parked, especially if it's a big test match or other important game. Here I go again on my own....0 -
hello ladies. alex is 4 weeks tomorrow! i really don't know where the time has gone. kennedy is so cute with him, kissing and hugging him. but she is like a limpet with me and it's hard to nurse him with her practically sat on my knee.
we're off to see lee evans tomorrow, i can't wait and have been pumping milk like a cow, (infact stick me in a field and call me daisy!) i have my tena lady at the ready0 -
Need a vent. Went to pick DD1 up from drama class tonight and whilst waiting, Izzy was minding her own business watching a little boy, approx 3 years old I'd say, playing. I was standing some way away and saw him swing on a rail and carefully aim his feet at her. He missed but immediately went in for another go, took a huge swing and karate kicked her full in the face sending her flying through the air into a wall. He totally meant it, certainly not an accident. By the time I could reach her she was crying her eyes out and he was smirking and laughing to himself. I was livid. Told him that it was a horrible thing to do and that he was very naughty. He ran to mum who was too busy talking to notice any of this, so I went up and told her as calmly as I could (I was shaking with anger) what he'd done. She was apologetic and told him off which made him cry, but my blood is still boiling 4 hours later.
She seems to be getting a couple of bruises. I was sooooooo upset afterwards though, just visualising my baby being kicked in the face and her look of total shock.

PP - poor Izzy - what a horrible little boy  .MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
She's such a friendly little thing as well, always tries to play with other children, the look of surprise on her face that somebody could do something like that to her was heartbreaking.
I'm usually very laid back and non confrontational, can't believe how I marched up to this woman and told her what he'd done
His older sisters go to the local primary school where I work, so I'm just biding my time until the day he's in reception and falls over in the playground and gets brought into the school office for first aid. That's when I'll be getting out the big bottle of undiluted TCP and salt water solution...... looking forward to that day!!0 -

OMG that is terrible, not sure i would of been able to keep my hands off him, giving him a whack back
Poor little thing, hope the bruises arnt too bad. Oh, the thought of something like this happening to Natasha makes me feel sick to my stomach. I love my gorgeous little girl0 -

I remember how bad that got. Still not 100% now:rolleyes:.
Purple, I hope Izzy is not too affected in the long run. How awful some kids are. I was kicked by a three year old on the street a few years back. I was really taken aback, no idea that could possibly happen! If Joseph ever turned out that way....:wall:0 -

Even DS1, who's 5, said he wants tights this morning...:rotfl:
Those babylegs do look cute, but I can't help thinking DS2 would have had them off. He did like being able to chew his toes ... :rotfl:Signature removed for peace of mind0
