Aaargghh. How long does chicken pox last?? *soooo tired*...

Agutka my ds1 had it for about 7 days before we could go out (spots crusted over) but he had it very mildly and didn't suffer or itch much at all....the norm can be as much as 2 weeks I think.

Forgot to say yesterday, for those of you with older kids Netto are getting in those inflatable 'ready beds' which are everywhere at the moment. They are coming in to larger stores this weekend for £17.99, which is loads cheaper than the £24.99/£29.99 they are on sale for in Mothercare/Argos. I'm getting one for Imogen so she can graduate to that instead of the travel cot (which she's getting a bit big for!)

Off to see my best friend now for a girlie afternoon and overnight - hurrah! OH's ill so he's stayin at home and Imogen was off to MIL's anyway, so girlie time it is. Just not looking forward to the 2 hour drive with the way my bladder is...

Lucky you LuT, mind you going away next weekend for a couple of days without him for funny handshake weekend..hooray.

I'm working at home today again as feel crap. LO is with me as well as had to collect him again from nursery yesterday as he wouldnt leave one of the girls side so taking up too much of her time. Amazing though wouldnt do anything at nursery then once we got home was playing with toys and moving around. He's got a bad cough but its not on his chest so dont know whether to give him anything or not.
Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.

    today is a good day.

my OH got made redundant 2 weeks ago but today he got a new job just as good as the last. so yippee :)

and we took Oz swimming today and he loved it the pool was nice and warm and there was no one there but us. i bought him one of those baby wetsuits thingys to keep him warm and put swim nappy on with waterproof pants over the top to stop any leaks and it was great. we stayed in for about 40 mins, my friend had lent me an inflatable ring with a seat in the middle and we towed him about. so hopefully this will be a regular thing. don't know if i could take him by myself though cos the baby changing table was very narrow and the strap didnt look the most secure so i would be nervous of getting myself dressed whilst he was in it, but hopefully my mum will come with me now that OH has a job again!

Glad you have had a good day nad - have you thought about taking your car seat or buggy in with you when you go swimming so that you have somewhere to put baby while you get changed?

    Hi!
Have a look in the Parent thread. We're all hiding out in there, swapping stories and advice. As to advice on teething - it won't last forever! How helpful am I? Not at all, but in a slight hurry atm, as somebody is crying.
    Later!

Edit - don't you love when the threads are merged and you sound like an out of context weirdo?

Top tip for teethig is use anbesol. You have to get it from the pharmacy counter & you want the liquid! It is fantastic, tried it on my gums & it numbs them instantly! I tell everyone about it!

I assume by the use of the thread title "full time mums" you are inviting all mums to join? Seeing as there's no such thing as a "part time mum".

    Jxx
And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end
