    Happy Birthday Elliot xx

Charlotte was on formula for milk drinks until she was 14 months. We went to Turkey 3 weeks after her 1st birthday, and I didn't know what Turkish milk tastes like and I was worried in case it might be that yukky UHT stuff or sheep/goat milk. I just kept her on formula until after our holiday then just put her on cow's milk when the formula ran out.

She had cows milk from about 6-7 months in cereals, custard, cheese sauce etc.

Just had some awful news. One of the girls in Year 6 passed away last night. She had a bad asthma attack and didn't get through it. I used to help out in that class before I had Charlotte and she was a lovely lass. She was caring and helpful, and sort of looked after me even though it was supposed to be me helping them!

James is a year younger, but he was good friends with her, so he's really upset. He's back in class now, but I wish it was hometime as I just want to hug him.
Here I go again on my own....

Thinking about you Becles. Hope James is okay. It's a hard lesson so young isn't it?

Took Imogen to my office and OH's office today. She was a real cutie. We work for the same organisation but different offices so we called him on the phone and she spoke to him. It went like this:

"Hi Daddy....yes...yes..coming now...love you, bye!" (hands me phone) "Done now Mummy!" How cute is that?! She was sat at my desk, typing away on my keyboard (PC not on) looking like a right little secretary. Someone asked what her hourly rate was!!

Earlier, on the bus into town, she announced, "I'm very sad Mummy," but couldn't tell me why! Think she's heard her big cousin say it as it's an odd one for a not-yet-two year old.

Having her hair trimmed in the am (sniff). She's looking more like a scarecrow every day, so it needs a bit of a cut to sort the shape out. Bit of a milestone (another one!)

James seems a bit brighter this morning. It's been tough for him this year. He's not known anyone die before, and we lost one of our dogs in February, then my Gran in August and now his friend. Had to learn some hard lessons - bless him.

I'm not well at the moment - got sinusitis again. Was playing on the floor and carrying on with the boys doing fake crying and whinging saying "I don't feel well" and all that. Charlotte must have thought it was real, as she came over and hugged me, patted me on the back and said "awwwwww". How sweet is that? :D

:T Well done Baybee! Will keep everything crossed for you.

Had a nightmare last night. We stayed at my parents' as we were going out to a 30th party and that means we share a room with Imogen. We went to bd just after 11pm and all was quiet, but at 3am Imogen woke up. We went through two hours of first crying, then talking, more crying, shouting, demanding Calpol, bit more crying, talking, animal noises...

We gave up and brought her into our bed after about an hour, but she continued talking, then shuffling about and sitting up, for a further hour. It all culminated in her saying, "chill Mummy, just chill out!" :rotfl: :rotfl: We did at least manage to laugh at this as it was the first time she's said it and it's something I say to her if she's getting het up. Still, back to sleep around 5am, then she was up at 8.30am (without turning the clocks back, so 7.30am in new time  ).

We're all knackered and grumpy, but at least she might stay up until bedtime tonight and then sleep through. We think it's becuase she senses we're in the room, as she sleeps fine at my mums in the same cot and same room without us there. Ho hum!

  • Bailey have you looked at the no-cry sleep solution by Elizabeth Pantley? Friends of mine have read and implemented it and said it's amazing. I have concerns about the cry it out method as it's been proven to cause psychological development damage if the baby is extremely upset. I also feel your pain on the climbing toddler - I have a very similar 30 month old!

Also - hello in general! I've been posting a lot on the pregnancy board but not so much here. I have three children - two boys (7, 30mths) and a girl (17mths) and am pregnant with #4 due in May :)
