    Hello,

I really hope you don't mind me gate-crashing the thread? I'm about 20 weeks off joining you all here :)

I'm wondering if any of you either have the bugaboo cameleon, or know someone who has? I've looking for some first hand reviews about it, as I'm reading some very mixed reviews online just now. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a pram which, if you believe those reviews, will break as soon as you try to get it up a curb with baby in it, and won't be fixed or replaced!

if anyone could help (either by posting here, or PM me if you don't want to interrupt this thread any more) it would be very much appreciated.

    thanks so much :j

Lu - The vitamins are for me, taking just before labour they are supposed to work almost as an analgesic, you have to have quite a bit, I discovered liquid version in Holland and Barrett as I was sick during labour with Chris I figured I was more likely to absorb them in liquid form than attempt to take a load of tablets :)Calcium links,

I didn't see the actual coverage of the genius girl but saw the 5 second thing on the 'coming up'
My mum always says that she would never want a genius child, she says 'normal' kids are much better because they get treated normal and teachers love a nice normal child :p
I have to agree with her on that one I even think I'd prefer a child that was a bit slow over a genius :o for me common sense and having an interest in something is much more worthwhile in the long term and would lead to a happier life in the end

Sami - I live in feeding vests with jeans or linen or wide legged trousers if we are going 'out' and I want to be a bit smarter. The girls at my Booby Club had never seen them and they all think that they are fab. I can vouch for the mothercare ones but I also have a Blooming Marvellous one which is carp.

Benjamin slept til 5.50am again this morning :T clever boy! He had his last feed at about 10pm and that was without formula so hopefully it is the start of something permanent (not holding my breath lol)

Squishy - my friend has a bugaboo...will ask her about it if no-one else can help. Although I know she has had it for 6 months with no problems...

thanks for all the ideas and comments re: high chairs. Asda are also doing a lovely tripo trap stylee high chair - so we are going for that and My parents are getting the other one for their house (mum says if there is one that we end up preferring we can always swap!).

re: bugaboo chamelon We have one and I love it. It was so easy and light to push when I was first recovering from my emergency c-section and the pram part is large enough so that my LO will be happy in it for a good few months yet (she's 12wks now). The only downside I have found is that the basket underneath is not very accessible when you have the pram part on - it's fine as a car seat on wheels and pushchair. I walk to the shops though and have found it's got easier with use/time/practice and I wouldn't swap it for the world now - definately worth the money IMO. Oh an dcongrats on your pg!!!!:T

    Hehe MFD

I am Ok, thanks. Haven't been contacted by HV yet, she said she would be back out at 6wks - so I have no idea really!
Had my 6wk check at docs though, which went fine. She asked if I have had a period yet?? It's a bit soon for that don't you think?

    How are you??

    Mel x

I thought everyone knew about shewee  I obviously watch some weird stuff on tv! :p

Thanks MFD I was thinking I might go for the vests in every available colour :rotfl: If I wanted to go some where a bit posh I'm sure heels and a jazzy cardi over a black one would be smart enough ;)

Mel - I had had a period by my 6wks check - well the doc said it was! :p I stopped bleeding for about 2 days at 4ish weeks then had really light for about 4 days and she said that would have been it

mel, i've had a period, well, having  i stopped the after the birth bleeding at 12 days and 11 days ago i started this period, it keeps beggering off and them coming back again as heavy as when it started, i'm displeased to say the least! as is OH, we had expected to have been jiggy by now!!

i'm glad to say seth didnt keep on with his silly "half feed, twice as often" phase and is back to normal now. he has been a really whingey little fella today and i've a splitting headache so i've been leaving him to OH today really :o
when OH presented him to me so he could have lunch he then came back in the room to find me in tears cos LO wouldnt stop wailing and my head hurt and now wont let it drop as one random crying fit must mean PND  i suppose i should just be grateful that he cares really...

I'd heard of it, no idea where, probably not on TV, people talking about festivals probably, maybe on the radio.

I am seriously thinking of getting one because when I go on walks with my rambling groups we have 'Gentlemen Forward' moments to allow us ladies privacy if we need it, but I am pants at weeing outdoors so I just hold on. Last time I tried I was still a teenager, and I was on a sponsored walk and let's just say the rest of the walk wasn't particularly comfortable and a bit damp ... :o:o:o

I remember DS2 'performing' once, I thought in reasonable privacy but an older gentleman walked past at a distance, and when he got closer he said how he wished he could still do that! :rotfl:
