I went to Mothercare last week (because I had a 10% off voucher which finished on 26th) and got a winter coat for Alice for next year. I was quite impressed as the 10% off still applied on even though it was on sale.

em - hope Seth was ok last night. I only put about 60mls in the bottle, I think he drank half maybe a bit less actually (he doesn't like it)

He drank his 8pm bottle at 7pm because he was obviously feeling a bit 'empty' and was really getting grumpy for it. He slept lovely and woke at 6am promptly draining his usual 5oz:) I will give him some more water today though because he seems to be a bit grumbly again and I don't want to go through two days of that again.

Weezl - good luck with your BIDIY:D

    morning all!
have a great day all, we're going to do some BIDIY (badly interrupted DIY- the only type there is with a baby!) and get a food shop in, and hopefully go for a walk too, could be a bit ambitious!!! Oh and an Ikea trip too...

We're doing BIDIY too! Need to get the sitting and dining room finished off as we've got people coming for Charlotte's birthday party on Monday. It's not her birthday until Tuesday, but I'm hoping she won't notice us having it on the wrong day as everyone is off work on Monday.
Here I go again on my own....

Fritha - if you're about do you know if warrington is decent for BFing Bra shopping, maybe debenhams?

I've not much clue tbh Sami, I just go to mothercare as generally pther shops stop their cup sizes before I even start! It's worth a go though, H&M does have some nice nursing tops while you're there! Not essential but v handy I've found :-)

3onitsway are you thinking of searching out a baby sign class that's the right type so all the family use the same signs as DS? I thought that was what you were saying but i've got foggy baby brain! Sounds logical to me, else it'd be like speaking russian to one of your children, asnd then translating it into french for another child, pretty confusing! :)

    love weezl x

Yes - that was my idea! They use Makaton all of the time in DS's school - so thought we might as well learn something useful! It'd be lovely for DS to be able to communicate with baby too! :D

Its BIG for us today, badly interuppted gardening. The garden is like a waste land and i'm determined to have a nice outside place for this long hot summer. (according to weather reports ).

And finally - I really don't get the lust for David Tennant. He looks like he's in need of a couple of good meals! I think i like mine a bit more rough & ready! :o

hiya ladies, the LO slept for 9 hours straight last night! When we woke up I sent DH to check on her her as I was too scared to. I was terrified something had happened to her - irrational mummy brain strikes again! There doesn't seem to be a reason for the long sleep -s he did everything as 'normal' yesterday so I'm hoping that as she's reached 12wks she's moving on to the next stage of sleeping for longer - only time will tell I suppose...

I was really wanting to ask about high chairs. It's a bit soon to buying one but the asda baby event has a really good buy - has anyone got this one?

or they have this pink one http://direct.asda.com/Red-Kite-Feed-Me-100-Highchair---Apple-Blossom/002646611,default,pd.html

I really fancy a wooden trip trap (is that the right name - the one that grows into a chair with baby), but wondered if the price difference was too much to ignore!

So, as Violet has reached 12 weeks today, she'll sleep for 9 hours tonight, won't she? :D (anything longer than 5 hours would be a start!)

I know exactly what you mean about the high chairs, the asda one looks like a good bargain - but the tripp trapp (http://www.bambinodirect.co.uk/details2.asp/ProductID/642/sid/26/stokke-trip-trapp-chair-baby-seat-Cusion.html?gclid=CJex0LbRnZoCFRWRZgodbX2d-Q) one is lovely - and would go better with the decor! But not very MSE!

Alice has been in bed since one and she hasn't gone to sleep. I can hear her because I'm in the next room and she's been sitting in the dark chattering and singing away to her cot toys for a whole hour and a half.

On money saving, if you join the Early Learning Centre Birthday Club, they send you a 20% off voucher when it is your child's birthday. Also, if you go to a Mothercare with ELC in it they'll accept it there on ELC products.

CG I'm new here, and a bit twp, but what's the whole Bob/Wendy thingie about? :o:D

You also may be jealous to know that my 2 pals from liverpool came to visit cardiff and stayed in a certain posh hotel and had breakfast next to Mr Tennant... He's often filming here (tho that ends now, sadly as he's not Dr who now...) They were quite distracted from their smoked salmon...

    love weezl x

the bob and wendy conversation came from this blog written by my childhood best friend, she writes a regular confessions of a slummy mummy blog and hates it that it doesnt get half as many hits as the football pages (boooo)

awww, lucky them! i wouldnt be able to eat either...ive got the BIGGEST girly crush on him, so bad i probably wouldnt be able to speak if i ever met him... its like being a teenager again, when im watching Dr Who i tear up when he gets emotional, i cant help but grin when he uses *that* smile and when hes in a tux with the bow tie undone...well... theres wet patches involved :)

i have a David Tennant calendar up in the kitchen, and its never on the right month... i dont care what month it is...im only in it for the pictures :) (i have a boring family calender elsewhere lol)

i understand people not seeing whats so gret about him though...hes a right skinny minnie, my OH is a b-i-g lad, physically they are completely different ends of the weight spectrum.... id probably snap the poor bloke!
