    Congrats on the interview :T

I have been to a group one. There were some group exercises so they could watch how you perform as part of a team. Tricky one as you have to try to be involved, but not too involved!

The exercises tend to be a bit silly. Like here's a pile of rubbish, build a vehicle/build something to solve a problem. After that they interviewed anyone they were interested in. It took pretty much the whole day, but mainly 'cos I was one of the last to be interviewed. Can you get any more detail of the HR dep't at the company?

Thanks hun. Its from 6pm-7pm. Its for a new Clarks store opening. I want to be a trained childrens shoe fitter hehe. Anyone worked for Clarks before??

Or you don't have to wait for the 6 week check up, you could phone and chat to your HV now about how you're feeling.

Unless they've changed it, I didn't find the 6 week checkup very helpful. The questionnaire said to answer how you feel NOW, and right there and then I was fine - always was whenever anyone was with me, it was when I was on my own I went to bits.

But get out as much as you can while the sun's shining ... I'm sure that helps!

I've had two positive days, yesterday i started with a half hour walk around the estate etc, and then my sister rang me up and we met up in town (approx 15 min quick walk away) and had a cuppa tea and (naughty) chips lol. Today i went on the same walk again, but ended up in matalan too (just on edge of estate) and got elliot a few things. Then at lunchtime i thought sod this im going to risk getting on a bus alone and go to my moms :o A kind lady helped me on with the pushchair (i carried elliot in the carseat and my bag) as it was an old fashioned double decker bus, and i asked a man to help me off :o I didnt get as stressed out as i thought i would.

One scary moment though-someone had been beaten to death just by the bus station, so there were lots of police and taped off, and tent where body was etc  there's been several shootings lately too-and i dont live in a really rough area really so its quite shocking.

Oh-im meeting another mom on monday afternoon hopefully, i got a lovely message off someone ive known since school but only got chatting properly since we both became pregnant. her daughter is about a month older then elliot. She asked if i was ok and wanted some company, and told me shed had a bit of post natal depression so understands how ive been feeling :o

so its looking more positive :o

    Hope everyones ok! :o

  • Septemberbaby - can't believe Poppy is 1 already, before we know it you will be telling us about celebrating the new baby's birthday! Hope you are doing OK and managing to put your feet up a bit (easier said than done i know).

Thanks, 3kids! We had a lovely day (even though it rained ). This year has been the quickest of my life but also the best as its my first as a Mummy! :D. Hope you are keeping well xxx

And thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes :grinheart

Keely, so glad you are feeling more positive. It does take time to get into a routine but it really does break the day up a bit if you can get out and about, even for an hour or so. Well done you for going to see your Mum :T. And hopefully you can make it a regular date to meet your friend and her baby. What a difference a few days makes!

    xx
  • Well Ruby has another tooth - we found it couple of days after the first one - I just hope they all are as easy as this:T. Its my first day back at work in the morning:eek: Iv been off for 8 months and am working for 2 mornings to cover holidays and using my keep in touch days.

Baybee - I work in the personnel department of a large retail store and we use group interviews. I am usually an observer and we look for how well the candidates interact with others in group situations without taking over or taking a back seat and letting the others do the thinking! Its not as bad as you might think and we usually have quite a laugh during them. Good Luck:j

  • Some people do just like to say things like that. I don't really understand it - like as if having more teeth makes them more intelligent or something??? When I had DS my cousin had a baby the same time and if I said DS could crawl, their baby could walk; if DS could say two words their baby could say four, that sort of thing. It's just like one-upmanship and it makes some people happy. By the time they start school they can all walk and talk and have all their teeth so I wouldn't worry about it as no-one ever asks how old they were when they did these things and there's no certificate for who did it first.

One of Tom's little friends was born a few days after him (We met on here - Hi ella_ella_ella and Natasha!) and she is doing way more things than Tom but I'm sure he'll catch up in his own time and in the meantime Natasha'a Mum is lovely enough not to comment on the difference.
Just smile sweetly and take no notice!!

Hi Choc!!, ohhhhhh i feel all famous being mentioned!!

Tom is just fab, what a little character  . Choc there really isnt much of a difference between them apart from them being like chalk and cheese of course!! You know how Tom learnt Natasha to say birr last week, well, she has been clapping since coming home this afternoon :T i told you he wasnt a bad influence lol

Pleased you feel a bit more positive keeleykat.

Had a rare night out. It was husbands birthday last weekend so I bought him tickets so see Ken Dodd as he's been desperate to see him live for years.

He came on stage at 7.30pm, the first interval was 10.30pm and he left the stage at 1am! Excellent value for money and we really enjoyed it. He's really funny.

Took Charlotte to that story group yesterday again. It was only her second time but she's settled in well. She sits with the other bairns to have her fruit and was really excited because she got one of the big pennies to buy a current bun when we sang that song :D
Here I go again on my own....

DS3's first two school reports had the headteacher describing him as 'an interesting child'. :rotfl:
