  • I'm sure once she is up and active she will suffer much worse ;) She's fine now anyway, so long as I don't try and pull any clothes over her head - must be a bit bruised I think.

Caz, when I left Izzy on the allotment with the rest of the family to pop home and fetch something, I caught myself talking to her in the back of the car even though she wasn't there. You get used to doing a running commentary don't you!

is that the first time you have left him nad? whenever i have left kids with anyone for the first time i feel like im always looking for the pram lol! what course are you looking into doing??

i've left him with my mum once and this is the first time with MIL! But i think i'll start to make it a regular thing because little Oz is too attached to my leg most of the time and it'll be good for him to stay with others and get used to me not being around! No one's really offered to have him before now but all of a sudden i'm getting babysitting offers all around so I think i'll take advantage!

I'm just doing my RSA stage 2, I'm looking for part time work (anything!) and although i can use a computer blind folded everyone seems to require at least that, I just got some past papers and am doing the first exam part next week.

HOWEVER! i've never really known what I wanted to do with myself work wise, i've never had a vocation and have just floated around but I think I've nailed it at last - i want to work with young people - maybe in care, or those in young offenders centres something along those lines, so I'm going to be doing some voluntary work and I'm going to apply to do a certificate in counselling to get me started come September. My OH maintains he's always said i'd be good at that sort of thing but I never really listened  ah well I'm only 28 so not too old to start retraining!

For the ladies suffering with Thrush... This leaflet has the best information for getting rid, and was written by a pharmacist :)

We had thrush for weeks when I was feeding Imogen so my sympathies.

Caz - have you tried Koolies? I got some free samples when i was BF and they are a kind of gel pad which you can put in the fridge. Bliss!

Ladybird - don't be surprised if you get a call from HV, but don't be surprised if you don't. We're averaging 1 ambulance per year for Imogen cos of head injuries - although she only went in the second time, the first time they were happy to leave her. She still has the dent in her forehead where she fell and banged it on an open drawer (from her drawer-top changer). I was stood in front of her getting socks out of the drawer and she flashed past my eyes - bad mummy!

I called OH back from his meeting in Hull and then made him take us out for lunch as I was still so wracked with guilt. She was fine, but I could have sobbed for days because I felt like I'd caused it.

And can I suggest this is the perfect reason for your OH to now take charge of all of the housework?!

Hi Weezl - I guess I should join here too instead of lurking around the pregnancy board!!

The rash you mention - i've got one too. It started at my elbow, crept up my arms, chest, top half of back, up neck and stops at my jaw.
I went to doctors and he said it was common for women to have such a reaction after giving birth?!? Its still there now (she'll be 5 weeks on Saturday) so I was going to ask a different doctor at my 6 week check.

Hello 3herenow ;) (your new username!)

This afternoon I dabbed benadryl lotion on mine and have felt loads less hot, stingy, and itchy now. Maybe that would help yours:confused:. I also tried a bit of kamillosan, and that was great for the itching but didn't diminish the redness, which since it's all over my face wasn't what I hoped for! :D

Hope those thoughts help a little with yours, and thanks for making me feel more normal!

Is it possible to change usernames - rather than set up a new one??

Doc only told me to use calamine lotion - only been putting it on at night as it looks silly when out and about! Much sillier than a red scaley flakey rash
