Other than pain I had no other symptoms (Depresessed Thrush) and kept getting told the latch position was wrong. It was only when I went to an NCT BF group that one of the girls there suggested thrush. The NCT group was my last hope and I was going to give up BF, DS was 5 weeks old.
I lasted as long as I did because I am a stuborn cow and really really really wanted to BF. (I'm glad I stuck with it and only gave up in January when DS was 17 months old). I nearly bit through my tounge on numerous occasion because it was so painful.0 -
Todays plans were derailed by a trip to casualty because I tripped over the hoover and dropped Izzy on her head
She is fine, just a bit bruised (definitely no clothes that have to be pulled over her head for a few days!) and was pretty much ok by the time we got to the hospital. My hands were still shaking and she was grinning at the doctor
Hopefuly we can avoid another trip for a while now we've got the first one over and done with. I have no delusions that we will never have to take her again, but hopefuly not until she is up and moving and starts injuring herself
She got her own back on me this afternoon by throwing up on me so copiously that I had to borrow a t-shirt from my Mum to come home in - I tried to give her some calpol and it didn't go down very well!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Did the docs warn you to keep a close eye on her as being sick is a symptom of concussion (or just being a baby!)
The best thing about living where I do is that my GP surgery is just across the road so when Chris had is first big bump I just grabbed my keys and ran across to them (after I'd managed to stop holding him, rocking whilst crying and looking like some kind of nutter!):o0 -

Oh, poor Izzy!
OH banged Tom's head off a door frame (accidentally!!) when he was just a few weeks old. Unluckily for Tom it was the first bump of many - barely a day goes by these days when he doesn't bump some part of his body or another!0
