I liked it as I was the only Rebecca right through school, but I could never get personalised rulers, pens etc., with my name on. It's more popular now though.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

these stories of personalised pencils make me laugh
I didn't like my full name, Samantha when I was little and when by some miracle there was one that said "Sam" it was obviously aimed at a boy
We can hardly ever got ones for my sis Julie, its usually Juliet or Julia
my dad is Glenn and it usually only has the one 'n' on these things!
My mum is very unimaginatively called Lesley and her dad is Leslie
She always says her mum couldn't be bothered with her and always focussed on her little brother
We have lots of David's in our family Mum's brother is a David and dad has an uncle and THREE cousins called David. there was also 3 Davids in my primary school class and then another 3 in my high school form.
I've only ever met one Jack so I don't think its as popular around here as the rest of the country0 -

Oh, bless :rotfl:. Ebay my dear, you can get anything on Ebay.
Well, I was the only Agnieszka in my town when I was young, though it's so popular in Poland everyone over here has met one by now. And hubby got me a whole bag of personalised pencils off Ebay, which I thought was very sweet (and I LOVE stationery :T).

That's probably because it used to be a much more common name but wasn't so common when I was born. Actually a couple of years ago when I did a few days work in a Nursery, the children were asking me if I was from Narnia because that was the only time they had heard of the name.Mind you not as bad as some of the people I went to school with called Tace, Cinnamon, Tanith and Lyle... now theres different!!!Signature removed for peace of mind0

When I was little they didn't do Susan but they did Sue so people would give me things with Sue on which I hated because it wasn't my name. (Nothing against the name Sue - I'm just not Sue.)
That's reminded me of my Gran. She really hated names being shortened and thought everyone should be called their full Christian name at all times.
So what did she call her two children? Susan and Brian
Then she spent the rest of her life complaining when they got called Sue and BriHere I go again on my own....0
