I would have thought it more likely than a Caesarean as surely the major abdominal surgery bit would make it hard to get back to it in the first few weeks?

We were 'back to it' 16 days after my emergency CS with DD:o . I waited longer with DS1 & DS2 because of stitches (inc internal ones with DS2)

I know what you mean with ur mum, Chris lost his balance and landed on his bum but there was a toy where he landed so he ended up with a bruise on his bum and everyone noticed it I felt like I was being interrogated coz about 4 people had changed his nappy or been with us when I did it and all asked about it.
I know they were just being caring but obviously I'm gonna know that my son has a bruise on his bum!
he always has bruised shins and knees coz he runs round like a loon and never looks where he's going bumps into and falls over everything!
That's boys for you. :D Alex usually has a bump somewhere on his head (the most recent thing being his new passion for twirling! )

Just wait till they're 5 and you're having to buy them new trousers/jeans every five seconds as they always, always come back with a hole on their left knee   (why left???)

    yey Keely :j
Glad you got out n about and enjoyed it :D was it a class or just the 2 of you?

on the subject of Ned what is it short for? is it Edward? that's our 2nd choice name if bump is a boy :) our first choice is Edgar, my family all hate it but I LOVE it.

I as a general rule like traditional/normal/biblical/English names and was really shocked when I discovered that in 2007 (the yr my Chris was born) Christopher was number 90 in the official most popular list.
I was worried he'd be one of three in his class but possibly he won't be, I haven't met another Chris the same age as him yet and we've been to lots of groups and classes in the last 2yrs!!
    All three of our girls names are in the 2007 top 100 but I haven't heard any of them at baby clinic, classes etc so I'm not too worried about it. they are;
    Lily-Rose
    Layla-Rose
    Isabella possibly middle name Eden

Chris is loving twirling too!! He'll spin and spin then fall over and say "ooh dizzeeeeeeeeeee" and get up and do it again  mentalist!
He tends to bump the back of his head so no visible bruises, clever boy!
Is Alex left legged? or maybe he subconsciously puts the left one first to save his kicking leg? would i be a cruel mummy if I sent him to school with patches on his knees??

On bangs to heads, we're averaging one ambulance per year because of head injuries :-(

She fell off her change mat and banged her head on an open drawer at 6 months (I was stood next to her getting her some socks out. Nosey parker obviously leant over to see what I was doing and had only just learnt to sit up!).

About 2 months ago she went flying while running around like a loon and dented her head (literally) on the architrave door surround (solid wood, not mdf). The paramedic said she was lucky not have busted it open and we did actually go to hospital on that occasion. Was expecting a call from the HV afterwards. Luckily she has enough language to explain what happened so everyone was clear I hadn't thrown her at it!

Thanks for the name suggestions. We rule out anything biblical as OH is a staunch aetheist. I'm still liking Ned, but OH said, "Okeley dokeley neighbour-ooney!" A la New Flanders from the Simpsons. Think I could live with that though.
