    Morning all

Well I dont know whether it was the veggie curry LO had at nursery on Friday, his back teeth that are coming through or the MMR jab he had last week but he has a really bad red bottom. Have reverted to cotton wool and water to clean it as wipes are stinging, caking him in Sudacrem as well... dont know what else to do... all suggestions welcome.

Where is GC when you need her. What is the name of the fish smelling one ????????????????/

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

No kidding though, seriously think it works !!!!!

Hi Keely - if my maths is right then Elliot is about 17 weeks? Which is a classic time for a growth spurt and the reason many people choose to wean early. I waited until 6 months to wean and sure enough the growth spurt did end! Very tiring though, lots of waking and wanting more milk... but it's just a phase! :)

thanks :o i think its time to up his bottles by an ounce, hes started crying for a bit more after his bottle-not all bottles but this is what happened last time...i gradually gave him an ounce more for each bottle.

I don't want to wean untill 6 months if possible, i'll just increase his milk if needed or more often if he needs it :o

Joshua had a really bad bottom once - so bad the skin was all cracked and weeping.

The HV suggested fresh air, and suggested putting him down for his afternoon nap with a bare bum and a folded towel underneath to catch any wee's.

I've got to admit I did see an improvement over a couple of days, but then on the third day, he'd woken up and done a poo, and rather than call for me, he decided to play. When I found him, he was caked from head to foot in it, and the cot bars and wall had poo smeared on them too

If you can trust him not to poo, it might be worth a try.
Here I go again on my own....

  • These poo stories scare me - thankfully DS isn't yet showing any interest in his actually nappy - just his willy when it is off - the way they yank on them, OUCH!

Sami can I join the Facebook group (it's for the post-preg ones too isn't it?)? I'll PM you my name if so, can't access FB at work though
