On another note, DS has nits!!!I am mortified, but have informed nursery, and all of our other friends with small children that we see.
A nitty gritty comb has put paid to the little blighters for now, but I'll be checking regularly in future. I really didn't think his hair was long enough!
I got the nits once and I have waist length hair, so catching them in my hair was a nightmare.
The chemist recommended some Hedrin lotion. It was very pricy (about £10 for the bottle!), but it did the job first time. I seem to remember having to sit with it on my head for a few hours and then had to shower it off and wash as normal. If you want to pay for a quick solution, I can recommend it.
The boys and husband were ok - they just shaved their hair really short!
*big hugs* Agutka. I followed that thread with tears too. It's awful to think what some people have to go through. Here I go again on my own....0 -

Keely, what symptoms has Elliot got with re to reflex? How do they diagnose it? My LO cries and is difficult to settle mostly in evenings, he arches his back and screems whilst feeding. He does bring up a lot of posset sometimes but not whole feeds. His breath smells quite acidy. I've til now thought it was colic but after reading about reflex on the web i'm starting to think he's got that.
Thanks Agutka, that post sent shivers down my spine.0 -

Thanks Agutka, that post sent shivers down my spine.
He's also suffered with colic, so i didn't think about reflux to begin with.
He keeps sicking up milk, not projectile or anything severe-but its very frequently.....sometimes its straight after the bottle, then shortly after and it keeps coming approx 20mins and it comes up all lumpy and acidic-which you can tell tastes yukky and hurts his throat. i get covered, he gets covered, settee gets covered!! im fed up of all the washing, i dread going out and needing to feed him.
I really hope the gaviscon helps, so far hes only sicked a bit up after feeding then hes ok till the next feed.
The first gp gave him full check up, top to toes-including temperature and checking inside his mouth etc... making sure he wasn't dehydrated and his stomoach felt normal. He asked questions on what we feed him, how often, how much etc etc..... when it happens, how much sick comes up.
He said it was a minor case, nothing major as his weight gain is fine, he's not dehydrated or anything and is generally happy. To try swapping to vari-flow teats to make sure theres no trapped air being swallowed etc resulting in sick coming up with it.
No improvement, so i saw my own gp (well a locum was there) who agreed to give the gaviscon as i am reluctant to go out now and its making me unhappy along with ellliot (scared of him puking everywhere when out etc).
I'l see how he gets on, if it works i can get it on repeat, if not i'll go back and see what else they can try.
But i've been told it will improve soon-as the valve thingy will develope and will get easier when hes weaned.
Its a good job hes so happy apart from this-hes all smiles and activeeven grinning at thr gp today lol.
hope i havent rambled on too much!

Charlotte is being funny with bed times. I'm the only one who is allowed to put her to bed
About a week ago my husband scooped her up and said "come on bed time now" and she screamed the place down and was putting her arms out for me, so I took her up. We've tested it a few nights since, and if husband or one of the boys tries to take her up to bed, she screams and wants me.
I'm the one who usually puts her into bed, but husband has done it occasionally in the past. She's all over him during the day and happily gives him a kiss and a hug goodnight, so I'm at a loss why he's not allowed to put her to bed. Here I go again on my own....0 -

it could be just a funny stage, my sister little 3 year old girl has gone through things like this for no reason at all and my friends 2 year old something similar - just wanting mummy to do it.
has anything changed recently about the house or routine? have you been away or anything? has she been having bad dreams? its probably just something small and she'll forget about it in a few weeks.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY
