I actually made it to midnight! Which is the first time I have made it since Imogen arrived. Nothing beats watching Jools Holland's Hootamanay in bed for my new year, even if I can't have a drink. Imogen had a rough night though. Didn't get to bed til gone 9 (more toilet palava) and then woke up just before the fireworks started at midnight.

The stickers seem to be working for not crying out in the night, but we haven't quite cracked the toilet at bedtime stuff. Had 2 quite nights, then it was back to "I want a poo in the toilet!" at 8.30pm.

Good news is that my maternity clothes have arrived - bought online in the sale at Next (even managed to get short-length trousers :T ). So I'm lounging in comfy pie-pant jeans, which are the best maternity jeans I've ever seen. They are too big right now, but dead comfy and fit way better than my size 14s which are too big on my bum!

Hope you all had a fab New Year :j

Lu, have you tried giving her something that might effect her poop schedule like adding prunes to porridge for a few days? I haven't done TT with Chris yet so nothing to base this on just a thought :)

We've upped her fruit and liquids intake quite substantially and this seems to be working out. She's eating grapes like they're going out of fashion!

I used to use 'poo puree' - as recommended by someone on here (sorry, can't remember who!) when she had porridge in the mornings. But she refuses to eat porridge for breakfast here (despite having it every day when she's at MIL's!).

We're having a quiet night tonight. No protesting at bedtime, no demands for the toilet (so far) and she's slept through without crying for me or OH for the past few nights. Just remembered, apart from last night when she was up at 1am and ready to go! Had to persuade her it was still night-time and get in bed to give her a cuddle.

Chris would quite happily eat an entire punnet of grapes if I let him!

Just thought I'd share these bargain Puma trainers they've only got size 8 infants left only £8 but I think postage is £4 (we order other stuff so it was free for us) http://www.mandmdirect.com/products-Puma-Infant-Ryu-Velcro-Trainer-WhiteBlueSilver_PU1385.htm
I managed to get a pair of sz6 for when his feet grow, these will be the 3rd pair of bargain trainees I've got him from M&M I always get them when I see then in nxt size :A

Hi ladies, a late happy new year!

I waited an hour and a half in the walk in/out of hours clinic today as elliot was throwing up some milk a lot yesterday and got me a bit worried....he may have reflux and we've been advised to try the vari flow teats to see if that helps. He was fully checked over, from top to toe and he's ok apart from sicking up a bit. It doesn't seem too bad today, but i felt better getting a second opinion from a gp. If it gets worse or im stil worried, ive got to see my own gp in the week and maybe get some gaviscon....but i know my own gp is crap and wouldnt even give us infacol or anything for his colic!

    End of moan....lol....

    keely.

Er yes. HV's. I shocked the trainee midwife I saw at my booking in by calling them a "shower" and saying "good" when they told me I wouldn't see the HV's very much this time round - this last bit missed out of my original post due to silly laptop and pregnancy brain!

Happy new year everyone even if we are already 4 days into it! Can't believe how quickly the time is passing, Matthew is 6 weeks today already and he gave me the biggest, real, proper first smile earlier today! Isn't it funny how that can make you forget the lack of sleep and make you all emotional. Just when you think you've got over the post-birth hormones lol!

Keely - how's Elliot now? Rosie had reflux but it was from when she was first born, literally only hours old. We struggled through it with just infacol (she was poor at bringing up wind too) as although we were offered gaviscon, at the time, it sounded like more hassle than it was worth, but perhaps things have changed in the last 4 years (she will be 4 next monday OMG!). (We weren't offered infacol by GP and had to buy it ourselves).

If he is quite sicky after being fed and needs a sleep have you tried raising the head end of his cot? We used to prop the end of her cot up with a bit of old kitchen work top or books! Just enough to raise the head end slightly helped a bit and stopped her being quite so sick!

Sami - will PM you re FB!

Hope everyone else and the LOs have got over the bouts of sickness/illness you were all suffering before christmas and are enjoying healthy starts to 2009! x
