Alex was due to have his MMR today but he's full of the cold so I cancelled it (well, rescheduled). DS1 had his and was fine.

    Hi ladies

Have any of you used the single vaccines as opposed to the MMR?

We have gone down the single route but only Measles and Mumps as it's impossible to get a Rubella vaccine in this country that hasn't been made using cells from aborted babies. Alice had the Measles one in September with no problems and is due to have the Mumps one in March as for some reason it still has to be six months after the Measles even though she's not having the Rubella one in between.

  • DS suffers with Night Terrors, I know a bit about it as studied some child psychology at college and have read up a lot about it.. but was just wondering if anyone elses children have, or have had, them and how you dealt with it?

  • Not sure if I mentioned whether I fell down the stairs last week? The reason I'm saying is that my front and back ribs have been getting progressively more painful over the last week and it's hard to take a deep breath. Been to the doctor and he said it's probably a broken or bruised rib and to take co-codamol and ibruprofen. Got out of there and realised I didn't mention I was still breast fedding - does anyone know if they are safe to take or how I can find out? Thanks
  • Oh chocaholic :( you poor thing - yes they are safe, almost everything is for bf-ing, I think decongestants aren't great because they can inhibit down milk production - but painkillers are a go-go

Hope you feel better soon :grouphug:

This might help or ask a pharmacist.
