thanks guys, have to say I'm not a fan of Gina Ford, I don't think I've ever managed to stick to any sort of time table in my entire life so I doubt I could follow hers.
Chris is definitely interested in what happens and finds it funny when we use the loo (especially how daddy and granddad use it) I usually take him with me and he laughs and says "mummy wee wee" as he's 20mths I'm not risking underpants straight away. in case I didn't say in my earlier post I'm skipping the potty mainly because I'm pg and think the sight of a full potty would not help my sickness _pale_0 -
Aww, lots of lovely pics - thanks everyone for posting! :T
Welcome to the thread Sami and Orkney Star - hope you like it here
Regarding potty training, I too recommend the Gina Ford book - and this is coming from someone who never did her baby routine (it's really not my type of thing at all  ). The potty book was completely different, and as I said, very very useful for us. :T Annoyingly, a friend borrowed my book a couple of years ago and never gave it back, and we live in the opposite ends of the country now so I can't realy ask for it back, so will have to buy it again for DS2.
Also, completely agree with the whole praising thing, it worked wonders. DS1 had a special potty card and he chose a sticker every time he went in the pot. It's amazing how much small children love little bits of sticky paper...:rotfl:
We've just got back from a long weekend away - does anyone else ever feel that when you're away with small children, you come back even more tired?I'm so pleased to be back home, with kids in their own beds, DS2 not screaming his head off because he doesn't like sleeping with anyone else in the same room as him, etc etc...

aww - he's lovely Sami.
I feel like that after a holiday Dormouse. It's not so bad when they get a little bigger. In Turkey this year, the boys went off with some other boys and hung around with them. It was all-inclusive so they just went and got drinks and lunch when they wanted them, and we took turns with Charlotte so the other one got a little rest alone each day
When the boys were little, they didn't like sleeping in the dark and I can't sleep if there is a light on. Used to have to leave the bathroom light on as a compromise, but I still never slept very well. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Hello and welcome to any newbies.

LuT could you do me a massive favour and add a smiley face to the thread as it just makes it easier to see!!!! (hope you understand what I'm on about)
Hope everyone is well. El is ok but a bit grumpy so we're blaming the teeth again!!
Some lovely pics.........
Ok here is my little angel!!Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
In real baby fashion though, she has started to cut her first tooth. I though her gum looked different yesterday but only got a chance to have a good look today (she was not pleased ... bless her) and it is definitley there:cool: . She has been completely normal, so no fuel to the teethcutting saga that some babies face
.
Hey don't mean to dissappoint but Els 1st 2 teeth came through without a single grumble from her but when it came to the next 2 oh boy we knew all about then  , but hopefully samantha will be fine with all of hers. But don't say you weren't warned lol :rotfl:Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
