Agutka, I have always given Poppy a dummy (she has slept through the night since 8w so I'm not going to change the routine just yet!
). She never had a problem finding it but I remember Jenny Frost being interviewed and her top tip was to put about 3 or 4 of them dotted around the cot!. I do that now just in case :rotfl:.

I have been giving him a few, but through the night they fall out of the cot, or as has been the case recently, I don't think he even wakes up, the little monkey. He just sits up crying when there are three dummies within reach! Grrr. When you put one in his mouth he just topples over :rotfl:
Having said that, I haven't heard a peep out of him for 12 hours last night, so whoohoo!:wall:0 -
I havnt slept well last night as Ruby seems to think its great to sleep on her tummy! I turned her back over about 6 times but each time she woke up and just flipped herself back on her front. She slept soundly but it was me worrying about it... my OH said she wont suffocate she will just move her head but all I'v heard for the past 6 months is "back to sleep". She can move from front to back with ease and is just about crawling... should I just leave her? shes 6 months now19.6.10 Weight loss 6lb0

Yeap just leave her, if she can get hearself on her front then she'll be fine. I went through exactly the same with Rhys when he learnt to do it and I panicked and used to move him back, but low and behold he'd be back on his front again within minutes.
He now sleeps on his front with his bum in the air most of the time.0 -

Hi ladies
Have any of you used the single vaccines as opposed to the MMR?0 -
Hi daphne, yep I did single vaccines for Olivia as the MMR thing was at it's height then. Have done the MMR for Isabel though as felt more relaxed about it by then. I also let Olivia have the MMR booster when she was 4.0
-
we just had our mmr last week, we looked into the single jabs but they are so expensive and with another baby due in 2 weeks we couldn't justify the expense. dd did get a stonking cold right after it and was grumpy all day after it was done but she's fine now.
don't forget if you go for single jabs they are done over a few months so you will have all the grumpyness 3 times, plus you then have to pay for the boosters when they get to school0 -
Jack had his MMR last Jan and I was all ready to expect the nasties and had a printout of what can happen and when................Nothing!
I can cope with that.
Hope the dummy lead worked Agutka, rather than a flukey night? My HV was of the opinion that no child can find a dummy in their cot during the night, but I know of children that can, if you leave a few sprinkled about. But like you said, my two just knocked them onto the floor or layed on top of them and just couldn't be bothered. Maybe the lead is a reminder, who knows.
Heather, just seen your sig, blimey you've not long to go, where did that time fly? Are you ready or still bits to do?0 -
Charlotte had her MMR and nothing happened either. Her thigh must have been a bit sore as she didn't like me touching it when I bathed her that night, but that was the only reaction to it!
Charlotte still has cold, but she's just snotty and not feeling poorly with it. She was at my Mam's this morning while I was at work. Mam was putting make up on getting ready for her job, and Charlotte had been dusting her face with a big blusher brush. Then my Mam used it on her face and thought it seemed wet, and then noticed she had a big snotty streak across her cheek :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0
