I'm bouncing off the walls today. Just got my uni exam results for the last module and I got a Grade 2 pass :j

I've got 180 points now, which means I've passed half a degree in just over two years
    :T :T :T Woohoo! Well done you! :j

(I've said it before and I'll say it again - I don't know how you do it!  You must be mega-organised! :T )

(Although this was after the infamous first-time mum incident when DS1 peed all over his forehead (!) and I thought it was sweat and thought he was seriously ill for a minute :o )

that actually made me laugh out loud!

hi rosiesmum! my wee man peed over me all the time at the start, but i leave his nappy off now all the time and it only happens very occasionally, although when he does do it its usually when he's lying on my bed. nice.

so after 15 months of gloriously having no monthly it arrived yesterday in full force (sorry if tmi!), does the first one after having baby always be so heavy? cos mine was never like this before. (again sorry if tmi!)

can now see 7 teeth trying to make their way into my little man's mouth

poor thing was screaming in agony last night - tried everything, bonjela, teetha, nurofen, ended up picking him up and giving him crushed ice in a tea towel to chew on and that seemed to do the trick for a while, he eventually went down at 9.30 (usually 6.30 or 7) and woke every few hours crying again and pulling at his very swollen face. bad teeth hurting my baby

Well then we can add inconsistency to my fab mothering skills :rotfl:
Is there a shaky head smilie?
Ah, you mean you're a normal mother, like the rest of us? :rotfl:

Frankly I found being consistent the hardest thing in the world. Still do in fact. DS3 has just come in from school and the guitar has started. It does my head in, but I don't want to discourage him! And some days I could cope with messes, and some days I couldn't. So some days I would get mad, and others I would be calm and collected.

Sympathy for the deafness, keely, been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Currently completely bunged up with cold myself, coughing well, have barely been out of my pyjamas for 3 days now, but at least the boys can look after themselves. Truly I don't know how I used to cope when they were little, but we do it somehow! And they DO survive.

And congratulations to Becles the Brainy! :T

Congratulations Becles, now you can relax :rotfl::p

Keelykat - I hope your treatment works quick. Been there done that, wouldn't wish it on anyone...

nadnad - well, at least you should get some time off from teething after this lot. Hope they come through soon. We're waiting for three I think - there's white bits and there's indentations, and I'm sick of medicating my baby!

    Daphne - crayons already??

Sami-bee - "Love you gorgeous" :rotfl:, I'll put that on my list of word to teach J!

rosies_mum - congrats. Better to get sprayed now then later when their wee has more shall we say potent qualities.
I have just slept till 9am, then 9.30 till 12 then 3-6pm! Good grief.

No chance! I've already started the next unit and have got an assignment to write this week.

Gave Charlotte some baked beans with her tea. Although she had a spoon, she had to pick up each bean individually and then say "mmm delicious" after each one
Here I go again on my own....

Has anyone got any tips on how to entertain a nearly three month old? I'm doing my best but I keep running out of ideas! Thanks

  • hi everyone

congratulations becles, my hat goes off to you, i struggle with life let alone studying.

how to the new poeple and welcome.

big hugs to all the poorly ones, lets hope all the illness goes before xmas.

we need to add to the poorly list. had a really bad day with molly she was burning up and screaming so took her to the docs and she has tonselitus, poor little girl. she's never been truely well for more than a week or two since she was born, always something.

so this morning went something like this, wake up smiling and cuddles, downstairs for clearing nose session (and I mean it was blocked solid both sides and green!!) so lots of screaming, then warm water on eyes to clear them and give her eye drops and she has conjunctivitus every other week due to snot, then give her her antacid and water, then give her antibiotics and then nurofen and calpol. And that's all before her morning milk. Honestly its a joke! Poor little lamb.

Agutka, i'm sick and tired of medicating my baby too and we've yet to do the teething thing.

    whinge over....
