Signing up for a loan on behalf of girlfriend who wants a boob job

I've spent years wanting a reduction but frankly not enough to go under the knife...
If she wants it then she needs to go out and get a part time job and save for it! DO NOT take out £7.5k debt on her behalf! If she is that upset with her body then she needs some councelling not surgery!
Personally I think she is being VERY selfish... sorry but I do. I'd never spend that much on something we couldn't afford... no matter HOW much I wanted it!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

The way to avoid this is simply tell her you are in too much debt already and that once you clear your own debt and if she still wants the boob job you will look at helping her then.0

more to the point, shouldn't you be discouraging her from surgery? boob ops often go wrong and any time you go under general anesthetic you could die.
I don't think she is being selfish. I think she's chronically unhappy with her body...but she shouldn't have that unhappiness confirmed by you paying for her boob job.£1600 overdraft

This is from a bloke's point of view:
As a man, If i love my gf/wife to bits and have decided to have kids with her then that's a major decision for us (note the use of us here). You have said that she is having problems with her body and that is affecting her. As someone who loves her, I would try to help her as much as possible. I would take out the loan and help her to make her happy, but obviously assessing if that is what she wants, the risks etc. If things dont work out well, I would forfeit the money and get on with life - I would just accept the fact and realise that I once loved her, had a good time with her and gave her everything that I could but then again, that might just be me!0 -
Couple of things. Firstly don't go anywhere near a surgeon unless you need to for health reasons. All procedures carry risks; cosmetic surgery is still surgery and shouldn't be confused with retail shopping.
Secondly, don't believe that it will be a magical solution to any problems.
Thirdly, don't borrow money to pay for it. The debt will take years to repay, long after the magical boob job has worn off.Happy chappy0 -

A woman who truly loves you would never expect you to incurr debt to pay for a vain luxury.
If you stashed enough to have the cash spare then yes I would grateful take it from my man but to ask someone to take on a debt for a non-necessity is one of the most selfish things I have ever heard.
To the OP, take a gander at some of the other boards and see how difficult life is for people when financial circumstances change and they are left with debt which seems impossible to pay off.0 -

I have to agree here - but I knew once I had my DD that bobbies really were there to provide nourishment, not just to look good in the mirror / to my OH!!
What if she has more kids - that might ruin the boob job?
What next after her boobs?
And are you available to look after baby 24/7 hwile she recovers from the operation, no lifting etc. for weeks, iirc.
Try and persuade her to stop reading magazines, if she does, they are full of airbrushed B list celebs who have boob jobs - none of which look entirely natural, and even where they haven't had them done, the graphics package can give them a little extra anyway.:rolleyes:Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

hi
i got a loan for my bf ,
he left me last year and i have to now pay it cant do a thing id say dont do it !!!!, i never thought he was the type to do it to me, he left me in loads mess id say dont trust anyone !!0 -
Alright i'm no spring chicken, my son is 13 now, my boobs are still there but starting to travel south.. Boob job no i don't think so, i wear a bra instead.
I have laughter lines on my face, i don't want a face lift that looks like it could melt in the heat, laughter lines shows that i have lived. I don't want to look like I've had a shock.
spider veins all down my legs, don't want lazer treatment to have sexy pins, i hate skirts that look more than belts, i don't like the cold i prefer trousers to keep me warm.
Even if i had the money, i still would say no.
coincidently OH has just got a £4k loan out for me, because although i have good credit, it still wasn't good enough. so i have a standing order, each month he gets paid. It doesn't matter if we have a row and go our separate ways, we found a template on this website about loan agreements and i pestered OH to have something in writing between us before he went for the loan.
Regardless of what happens with me an OH, i couldn't be a cow and stop the payments, I've had an ex walk away and leave me with debts, took me 10 years to get myself back to ok credit (thats why i couldn't get a loan). But I guess you really have to trust someone to do that.Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0
