One last thing for you to ponder; Class is something that cannot be bought and is never bragged about.
Its ok the irony of it has already been pointed out to me:D0 -

Class? I only perceive the linger of newly rich white trash. (Don't blow your top, ma'am, only joking).

Are you two snobs referring to me?
Never claimed to be wealthy or anything other than working class.
You two really need to look at your own posts for snobbishness & prejudices:rolleyes:
Schamansky I think you will find that MSE does not allow racist posts.
The class & breeding of two gentlemen such as yourselves shouts loud & clear on MSE, are you always this rude to women on MSE?0 -
An awful lot of Aldi/Lidl/Netto shoppers are only enforcing others view that they are frequented by rude chavs/thugs/low-lifes:D
Thats a truly horrible comment :-(
I've posted about Aldi and shopping there, trying to give a balanced view.
I'm a hardworking woman on a strict budget, struggling to make ends meet without descending into debt - comments like this make me feel really low. :-(.
Money saving because you have to can get very wearing year in year out and comments like this just grind you down.
I'd love to be able to shop at M&S for all my food, I've treated my family with their meal deals for a tenner occasionally, but I can't afford to shop there usually.0 -

They do the best doughnuts!
I shop at Tesco, Sainsbury's and, like Mrs E, Waitrose and M&S, so shoot me now.
But I shall have a wander round a Lidl/Aldi next time I pass one.
Cool - thanks for the tip - OH loves doughnuts!
I don't agree with gun possessionNor was I arguing with where anyone shops! I was mostly commenting on ill-informed prejudice, and pointing out that in my own experience, prejudice regarding European supermarkets is unfounded snobbery.
Which is quite different from saying that everyone who shops in 'posh' shops is a snob!:money: I heart Martin! :money:0 -
The large bakery near where I live bakes cakes for M&S, Tesco and Sainsbury. Supermarkets only sell stuff, they don't make it. :whistle:0
