They have baskets in Aldi, High Street, Glasgow
  • I found an article on the Observer/Guardian website which may be of interest to some. It's in the Food Monthly section - called 'Stuck in the Lidl with you'.

After reading the posts here, a lot of Eva Wiseman's commentary is similar to some here.

So, even though it's about Lidl, it's in the same vein.
    Looking forward to the future.

Theo Paphitis, chairman of Ryman and Dragons' Den judge, said recently that he would rather 'take razor-sharp pins and place them through my eyes' than shop at Lidl
  • Thank you frugallass for posting that, it was very interesting reading and hasn't changed my view at all on shopping there. I felt like I wrote the article myself:D

I still think I do prefer Asda to Lidls/Aldis though ;)

That's definetely good pay I must admit! The majority of retail jobs pay the bare Minimum (although JG paid good money)

You're telling us that Aldi/Lidl foods are better quality than leading supermarkets/brands foods, so if we're buying poorer quailty foods then we can't be food snobs, can we?

    I've concluded a few things...

    1. You're not very bright.
    2. You eat with your eyes.
    3. Aldi probably isn't for you because of 1 and 2.

    I've concluded one unimportant thing........

    1. You shop at Aldi/Lidl. :rotfl:
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D
